(p. 85) arru arru. [Tel.] n. The neck. కంఠము, పశుజాతి, మెడపంపు, కుతిక, ఆపద, హాని. A sore on a bullock's neck occasioned by ploughing. ఆ యెద్దు యొక్క అర్రు కొట్టు కొనిపోయినది the bullock's neck is hurt (by the yoke.) 'అందని ఫలముల కర్రుచాపగనేల.' Kalahasti.

(p. 446) cāpa ṭsāpa. [Tel.] n. A mat. A sail: a sheet; a kind of net ఒకదినుసువల. Any thing flat. చాపరాయి a flat slab of stone. తాటిచాప cakes of the juice of the ripe palm fruit. చాపన్నము, చాపప్రసాదము or చాపవంటకము a heap of boiled rice poured out on a sheet of cloth. చాపకట్టు a flat bank. చాపకట్టు or చాపచుట్టుగా పడ్డారు they all fell flat. చాపగద్ద or తెల్లచాపగద్ద ṭsāpa-gadda. n. The harrier-hawk. Jerdon's Catal. No. 25. చాపట్టు (చాప+అట్టు.) tsāp-aṭṭu. n. A sort of biscuit. పలచని పెద్ద అట్టు.

(p. 1199) vīṭi vīṭi. [Tel.] n. Plunder, booty, కొల్ల, దోపుడు. వీటిబోవు vīṭi-bōvu. v. n. To become blameworthy. దూషితమగు, నిందితమగు. To be lost, నష్టమగు. To become useless, vain or unprofitable, వ్యర్థమగు. వీటిబుచ్చు vīṭu-buṭsṭsu. v. a. To lose, ruin, abandon, baffle, disappoint. కోలువుచ్చు, పోగొట్టు, విడిచిపెట్టు, వ్యర్థముచేయు. 'పొరుగిండ్లకు బోనిచ్చుట, నోరుతోనగజూచుచుంట నొగిపుట్టింటన్ జరికాలముండనిచ్చుట బురుషుడు తనసతినివీటిబుచ్చుట సుమతీ.' Sumati. 25. 'కుత్సితమేమి కూడుసమకూడినరాజ్యము వీటిబుచ్చగా వచ్చిన లాభమేమి.' P. iii. 139. వీటివాండ్రు vīṭi-vānḍru. n. Acrobats, rope-dancers దొమ్మరవాండ్రలో భేదము. వీటిది a female rope-dancer, దొమ్మరిది. 'వీటిదానిపొందు విడువజాలక తుల్వవచ్చుదాక మోనుచాపగుడిసె, భాగవతులపట్టుపట్టంగనోపడు.' Vema. 1693.
