(p. 808) podalu podalu. [Tel.] v. n. To increase, to flourish or thrive, be generated, be produced. అభివృద్ధియగు, పెరుగు, ఉద్భవించు, చెలగు, విజృంభించు, ప్రకాశించు. 'కాంచనమణి భూషులు చీరలు నరపతికిం, బొలతికి నుడుగరలు ముదము బొదలగనంతన్.' Swa. v. 120. పొదలించు podalinṭsu. v. a. To undertake. పూనుకొను. 'మెయివంచి పొదలించి మెడయెత్తి నిక్కి కొక్కొరకోయని కోటలగొంగ, పంచమస్వరమున బాటించి కూయ.' Pal. iv. పొదలిక podalika. n. Increase, growth, పెంపు, వర్ధనము. Assumption, persistence, enterprise. పూనిక. The heel. గుదికాలు. పారమడమ the back of a hoe. గొడ్డలిమడమ the back of an axe. తుపాకిమడమ the butt end of a gun or musket, కుండా. మడిమెత్తుపరుగు running quickly. 'మడిమెత్తుపరువుతో మంత్రాక్షతము లియ్య.' (p. 1061) rampe or రంపియ rampe. [Tel.] n. A cobbler's knife for cutting leather. చర్మకార సాధనము. తోలునుకోసేకత్తి. రంపెలాడి rampel-āḍi. (రంపెలు + ఆడి.) n. A slut, vixen, termagant. రాక్షసకృత్యముగలస్త్రీ, పోరుపెట్టేది. 'సీ చించివైచుటెకాని చీరలిచ్చినగటీరమునగై సేయదా రంపెలాడి.' P. iii. 190.
