How much. ఇది యెంత పొడుగు how long is this? ఎంత అన్యాయము what injustice! ఈ బంగారమెంత ఉన్నది what is the price (or weight) of this gold? అది యెంత పని what great matter is that? ఎంతమాత్రము how much? ఎంతలో within what price? ఎంతమాత్రము కాదు by no means. అట్లు అనడానకు నేనెంతవాణ్ని who am I that I should say so? నీవెంత ఆయనయెంత? what comparison is there between you and him? నేనెంత చెప్పినా notwithstanding all I could say. ఎంత చెల్లించితే అంత మంచిది the more you pay the better అప్పుడు ఎంత రాత్రియైయుండెను what time of night was it then? ఎంత సేపటికి వచ్చినాడు how long after did he come? ఎంతకు అమ్మినాడు for how much did he sell it? ఎంతమాత్రము కూడనిపని a thing quite out of the question. నీవెంత నేనెంత అని పోట్లాడినారు they scorned or insulted one another. ఎంతటి వారు what sort of persons? ఎంతమంది how many (persons.) The conjunction యు is sometimes added as an intensive. ఎంతయు రయంబున with very great speed ఎంతేని entēni. adv. Ever so much, how much soever. ఎంతైనను. ఎంతైన. how vast, how great, ever so great. ఎంతో much. ఎంతో సంతోషముతో with great joy.

(p. 740) pāpamu pāpamu. [Skt.] n. Sin, crime, evil. అతణ్ని గురించి పాపము పుణ్యము రెండు ఎరుగును I know nothing about him either good or bad. interj. Alas! O dear! what a pity! unhappily! పాపము, వారుపడినారు alas! they fell down. ఆపె అక్కకు అన్నానికిలేదు పాపము her sister, alas! has nothing to eat. ఆ చిన్నవాణ్ని కొట్టకు పాపము for shame! don't beat the boy. మహా తెలిసినవాడవు పాపము you are a clever fellow, to be sure! వాడు నమ్మినాడు పాపము he believed it, alas! పాపము ఆ రూకలు అతడు చెల్లించినాడు to do him justice, he paid the money. పాపాత్ముడు, పాపపురుషుడు, పాపి or పాపోష్ఠుడు pāp-ātmuḍu. n. A sinner, wretch, villain. పాపాత్మురాలు a wicked woman, a sinful wretch. పాపి pāpi. interj. A vocative particle addressed to a woman or man. My dear! ఒరేపాపి my good fellow! పాపికా, ఓపాపోష్ఠులారా O wicked woman. 'కోపించి యాతండు గొంతి కిట్లనియెల, పాపికాబ్రమసితే? ప్రాణవల్లభుని దూపొడ గూడునేతుంపర్లునిండ.' BD. iii. 576. పాపోష్ఠి pāpisṭhi. adj. Horrid, scandalous, nefarious (a general term of disgust.) పాపిష్ఠుడు pāpishṭhuḍu. n. A great sinner, a miscreant. మిక్కిలిపాపి. పాపుడు pāpuḍu. n. A sinner. A cruel man, హింసకుడు. A wretch, అధముడు. (p. 1083) rūpakamu rūpakamu. [Skt.] n. An allegory, a parable. A metaphor. Also, same as రూపము, రూపము rūpamu. Figure, form, shape, appearance, semblance, ఆకారము. Nature, స్వభావము. Beauty, సౌందర్యము. నిజరూపము, ఉన్నరూపము or కలరూపము the real form the fact, the very truth, reality. అర్థరూపము and పూర్ణరూపము are terms in statuary for the profile and front figure. మారురూపము metamorphosis, another shape, a disguise. రూపకముగా or రూపముగా rūpakamu-gā. adv. In the shape of. రొక్క రూపకముగా చెల్లించినాడా సరుకురూపకముగా చెల్లించినాడా? did he pay it in money or in kind? రూపకమైన rūpakam-aina. adj. In the form of, in the shape of: (a word only used in compounds.) thus, భూరూపకమైన జీవనము subsistence derived from land. రూపాంతరము rup-anlaramu. n. To prove, ascertain, confirm. నిరూపించు. రూఢిచేయు.

(p. 1322) sādhiñcu sādhinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To achieve, accomplish, effect, master, overcome, conquer. నెరవేర్చు, సమకూర్చు. v. n. To persist in saying, insist upon, affirm. కార్యము సాధించు to obtain a thing by perseverance. 'ముక్తి సాధింపగలరు.' Vema. 866. ఆ సొమ్మును చెల్లించినాడని సాధిస్తున్నారు they affirm that he paid the money. ఆ యడవిని సాధించిరి they subdued the jungle. సలము (or పగ) సాధించినాడు he wreaked his malice. See సాధకము and సాధనము. వాడు లేదని సాధించినాడు he persistently denied the fact. ఆ అమ్మకము జరగలేదని సాధిస్తాడు he makes it out that the sale never took place. సాధు or సాధువు sādhu. adj. Tame, docile, tractable, gentle, good, not vicious. Pleasing, right, correct, fit, proper. Excellent, eminent. దుష్టుడుకాని, సాత్వికమైన, మనోహరమైన, ఉత్తమమైన, సుబద్ధమైన, మంచి, చక్కని, సాధువైనఆవు a quiet cow. సాధువు sāḍhuvu. n. A good, meek, harmless or gentle person, a good natured or virtuous man, a saint. సాత్వికుడు. మంచివాడు, తిన్ననివాడు. 'సాధులగు పేదవారికి నెగ్గుల్.' M. I. i. 130. సాధ్యము sādhyamu. adj. Possible, attainable, practicable, tractable. సాధింపదగిన. n. The twenty second astronomical Yoga. గ్రహ యోగములలో నొకటి సాధ్యానుస్వారము sādhy-ānusvāramu. n. The changeable sunna (n) which may be inserted according to circumstances, as in అల్లుడు, అల్లుండు, అతడు, అతండు. సాధ్యుడు sādhyuḍu. n. One who is easy, docile, gentle or reasonable. సాధింపదగినవాడు, సులభుడు, మెత్తనివాడు. వీడు సాధ్యుడు వారు అసాధ్యులు he may be mastered but they cannot be mastered.
