(p. 809) podugu podugu. [Tel.] n. The udder of a cow. పొదుగుకోసి పాలుతాగు to cut off the udder to drink milk; a proverb like that of killing the goose that laid golden eggs. పొదుగుచేయు podugu-chēyu. v. n. To have a large udder, as a cow about to calve (ఆవులోనగునది యీనబోవుకాలమందు) పెద్దపొదుగుగలదగు. ఆవు పొదుగు చేస్తున్నది the milk is coming into the udder (previous to calving time.)

(p. 871) balupu or బళువు baluvu. [from Skt. బలము.] n. Weight, a load or burden; బరువు. Strength, బలము. A charge, or obligatory duty; onus; oppression; anguish; acuteness (as of a boil), heaviness, severity of sickness. Importance, consequence. భారము. మీ చిత్తమునకు బలువు తోచును you would be displeased. బళువుసుళువు ఎరుగనివాడు one who knows no care. దానిని నెరవేర్చే బళువు తమది it is your business to settle this. బలబళవు ఇంకా తీయలేదు the heaviness or stupor is not yet gone off. నెత్తి బళువు తీరినది there is a weight off my mind. ఆ కురుపు నానాటికి బళువుచేస్తున్నది the boil becomes more painful day by day. adj. Heavy, onerous; obligatory; difficult, acute, severe (as illness), irksome, indisposed. అధికము, మిక్కుటము. Large, పెద్ద. See బలు. వాడు బలువైన పనిచేయలేడు he cannot do any heavy work. బలువుగా or బళువుగా baluvu-gā. adv. Heavily. అతనికి ఒళ్లు బలువుగానున్ణది he is very ill. ఆ ఊరు బలువుగా కోసెడు ఉన్నది the village is fully two milles off. బలువుడు baluvuḍu. adj. Strong. బలముగల. n. A strong man, బలవంతుడు, బలియుడు.

(p. 1034) moṇḍi moḍi. [Tel.] adj. Maimed, crippled, defective, imperfect. చేతులు కాళ్లు తెగిన, అంగహీనమైన. Bare; lopped. Blunt. blunted, మొక్కపోయిన. Stubborn, obstinate, perverse, pertinacious, impertinent, incorrigible, unmanageable, ungovernable, refractory, unruly, మూర్ఖమైన. మొండిమాటలు stubborn or rude language. మొండిపిల్లకాయ an obstinate or refractory boy. మొండిగోడలు bare walls. మొండిగంటము a blunt stylus. మొండి చెయి a maimed hand. మొండిచేతులు bare hands, i.e., hands without any ornament. మొండితోక a docked tail. మొండిమెడ a bare neck, i.e., without any necklace. వానిది మొండిప్రాణము he is tenacious of life. మొండికట్టె or మొండరి monḍi-katṭe. n. A stubborn wretch. మూర్ఖుడు. మొండిచేయి, మొండాడు or మొండాటలాడు monḍi-chēyu. v. n. To be unruly; to oppose. ఆ గుర్రము మొండిచేస్తున్నది the horse is stubborn. మొండితనము monḍi-tanamu. n. Stubbornness, obstinacy. మూర్ఖత్వము. మొండిపారిన monḍi-pārina. adj. Callous. కాయకాచిన. మొండిపురుగు monḍi-purugu. n. The 'stumpy' snake, or Amphisbœna, which looks as if the tail was lopped off. మొండు Another form of మొండి. మొండెము or మొండియము monḍemu. n. A stump. The trunk of a body after the head is lopped off. శిరస్సులేని శరీరము, కజంధము. A fragment, a limb lopped off, a separated member, ఖండము. మొండెపుగాము monḍepu-gāmu. n. An epithet of Rāhu. రాహువు.
