(p. 285) kīcakamu kīchakamu. [Skt.] n. A hollow bamboo. కీచకతండులము (Kalahas. Mah. iii. 48.) the pearls of gum (tabasheer) found inside bamboos. కీచకస్వనము a hollow groaning sound, as that of the wind passing the mouth of a tube.

(p. 341) kṣēmamu kshēmamu. [Skt.] adj. Happy, well, in good health, prosperous, safe. కుశలమైన, శుభమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన, భద్రమైన. n. Good fortune, welfare, happiness, health, safety. Bliss. A safe for money. శుభము, కుశలము, భద్రము, కలిగినది చెడకుండుట. యోగక్షేమములు విచారించుట to enquire after a person's welfare. క్షేమముగా నుండు to be happy or well. క్షేమంకరుడు or క్షేమకారి kshēmankaruḍu. n. A benefactor మేలుచేయువాడు. క్షేమకరము kshēa-karamu. adj. Auspicious, salutary, beneficial, advantageous. శుభకరమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన. క్షేమతండులము kshēma-tanḍulama. n. The rice provided for a journey. రోవకుకట్టినబియ్యము. 'ఎసటిపోతలుగాగ నేర్చినించిన. చిరంతనాపుశాలి క్షేమతండులములు.' A. ii. 111.

(p. 498) taṇḍu tanḍu. [Tel.] n. The broad part or beazle of a ring. v. n. To ask for the payment of a debt. To collect or raise money. తండుకోల tanḍu-kōla. n. An oar. A spear used in killing fish. చేపలనుపొడిచే చిల్లకోల. 'సీ చుంగులల్లాడుగోచులు తండుకోలల నెట్టుకొల్పినమీలపుట్టికలను.' పంచ. వేం. i.

An oilman. తిలఘాతుకురాలు a female of that caste. వాడు మహా తిలఘాతకుడు he is a cruel wretch. తిలతండులన్యాయము as sesamum seeds and rice are mixed up together (See the fable in Panchatantramu.) తిలయంత్రము tila-yantramu. n. An oil press. గానుగ తిలరసము or తిలభవము tila-rasamu. n. Gingilly oil. నువ్వులనూనె. తిల్యము tilyamu. n. A field in which a sesamum crop is raised తిలలుపండుపొలము. 'రోలదిలలు గ్రుమ్మి తైలంబుదివిసి.' P. ii. 111.

(p. 548) temalucu , తెమలించు or తెమల్చు temaluṭsu. v. t. & n. To feel a retching sensation. To shake, to turn the stomach or amuse vomiting. కదిలించు. కడుపులో తిప్పు, గోండ్రించు. 'తనపైనతండుంచినకేల్దె మల్చి.' T. iv. 143.

(p. 630) naḍi , నడిమి or నడు naḍi. [Tel. from నడుము.] adj. Middle, mid. నడికాలము the idle time of the year, between the ploughings. నడితడప the thick or middle part of a palm branch, తడప. నడికట్టు nadi-kattu. (నడిమి+కట్టు.) n. A girdle, waistband. నడిరేయి, నడికిరేయి, నడురేయి or నడిమికొల్లగాడు naḍi-rēyi. n. Midnight. అర్ధరాత్రము. నడికొప్పు naḍi-koppu. n. Fretfully. నలినలిఅగు to be peevish , to fret, నొచ్చు. నలినలిచేయు to harass, torment. నలినూకలు nali-nūkalu. n. Dust, powder. అర్థతండులములు. నలిపొడి nali-poḍi. n. Saw-dust, chips, shavings, dirt, fragments. నలిబులి nali-buli. n. Confusion, అల్లకల్లోలము. నలిరేగు nali-rēgu. v. n. To take fire, to become irritated or enraged. విజృంభించు. నలియు Same as నలుగు. To be beaten, కొట్టుపడు, కొట్టబడు. మొత్తికొను or మొత్తుకొను motti-konu. v. n. To beat one's own head or mouth in despair. To lament or wail. అక్కడికి పోవద్దని మొత్తుకొంటిని I entreated him not to go there. 'అసురుసురనుచు నడునెత్తి మొత్తుకొనుచు.' Jagann. ii. 63. మొత్తుకోళ్లు mottu-kōḷḷu. n. Lamentations, howling, outcries, wailing. ఏడ్పు, పెడబొబ్బలు.

(p. 1155) vāyuvu vāyu. [Skt.] n. Air, wind, గాలి. A rheumatic distemper, rheumatism, వాతరోగము. అజీర్ణవాయువు a species of dyspepsia. ఉదరవాయువు flatulency in the stomach. డమరకవాయువు difficult and short respiration, asthma. తిమురువాయువు paralysis, palsy, deprivation of motion and sensation together, i.e., numbness. పక్షవాయువు or పార్శ్వవాయువు hemiplegia. ముద్దవాయువు dead palsy. మేహవాయువు flatulency in the body said to be caused by veneral heat. వాయువును పట్టే మందు or వాతహరమైనమందు a medicine that dissipates flatulency. వాతనాడి a flatulent pulse. వాతాతిసారము a flatulent disease of this kind, diarrhœa. వాయనిరోధము the art of stopping the breath. practised with a view to attain length of days. వాయస్తంభనము. వాయుపథము vāyu-pathamu. n. The atmosphere. ఆకాశము. వాయువిళంగము vāyu-viḷangamu. n. A medicinal seed, like a pepper corn, put in the mouth of children in order to assist their speech. చిత్రతండులము. వాయువేగి vāyu-vēgi. adj. Swift as the wind. వాయుసఖుడు vāyu-sakhuḍu. n. Lit: the friend of the wind, i.e., fire, అగ్ని.

(p. 1189) viḷaṅgamu or విలంగము viḷangamu. [Skt.] n. A vegetable and medicinal substance considered of great efficacy as a vermifuge, చిత్రతండులము, వాయువిళంగపుచెట్టు.
