(p. 182) ekkuva ekkuva. [Tel.] n. Excess, greatness, eminence. Particularity, peculairity. ఆధిక్యము, విశేషము. అతని దగ్గిర పుస్తకాలు ఎక్కువగా లేవు he has not many books. ఎక్కువ ekkuva. adj. Great, peculiar, remarkable, singular. అధికము. ఎక్కువ పాతదికాదు it is not very old. ఎక్కువళ్రమకాదు it is no great trouble. ఎక్కువతక్కువ ekkuva-takkuva. n. More or less, uneveness, irregularity, ups and downs. కొంచెము ఎక్కువతక్కువగా నూరు రూపాయలు about 100 Rupees. మాలో నేదైనా యెక్కువ తక్కువ ఉంటే తమరు క్షమించవలెను please to excuse all errors.

(p. 500) takkuva takkuva. [Tel.] n. A want, deficiency, defect; inferiority, baseness. లోతక్కువ the balance or remaining sums of money ఎక్కువతక్కువలు or హెచ్చుతక్కువలు difference, irregularity, improper words. adj. Deficient, defective, inferior, mean, contempitible, base, low. With a dative it means less: as కోసుకు తక్కువ less than two miles. ఇది ఒకటే తక్కువ this alone was wanting. అది యేమితక్కువ what harm? what matter? తక్కువమాటలు low expressions, improper language. ఎక్కువతక్కువగా adv. More or less. తక్కువపడు takkuva-paḍu. v. n. To be wanting, to be deficient, to be insufficient. కొరతపడు. తక్కువపాటు takkuva-pāṭu. n. Want, deficiency.

(p. 501) taggu taggu. [Tel.] v. n. To become less, to decrease, diminish fall (in price,) abate, తక్కువగు. To go back, withdraw, retire, వెనుకకుతీయు. తగ్గుమొగ్గులు taggu-moggulu. n. Ups and downs. తగ్గించు tagginṭsu. v. a. To lower, debase, degrade, తగ్గింపు taggimpu. n. A fall, sinking, diminution, reduction. A fall, in price. తగ్గు or తగ్గుదల taggu. n. Decrease, a diminution, abatement తక్కువ.

(p. 1194) viṣamamu vishamamu. [Skt.] adj. Odd, uneven, irregular. Unparalleled, unequalled. Contrary, adverse, unfavourable, evil, bad. బేసి, ఎక్కువతక్కువగానుండే, సమముకాని, విరుద్ధము, దుష్టము. విషమసంఖ్య an odd number. విషమజ్వరము a pestilent fever, a fever difficult of cure. విషమాయుధుడు or విషమశరుడు Manmadha, whose arrows are five (an odd number). విషమనయనుడు Siva who has an odd (or extra) eye in his forehead. విషమబుద్ధి an evil or wicked mind. విషమవిభాగము an unfair or an unequal division. (p. 1361) sōla sōla. [Tel.] n. A certain dry measure, equal to a seer. పదునారు డబ్బులయెత్తు వస్తువుపట్టేకొలది, శాస్త్రకారుడుచెప్పినది తొమ్మన్నూరుగింజలు పట్టేది. సోలవెలితిగా sōla-veliti-gā. adv. Scornfully, contemptuously. కొంచెము తక్కువగా. 'ఏలయీబహురూపులేవైన మున్ను సోలవెలితిగనిన్ను జూచితినయ్య.' BD. iv. 1028. 'ఈ చందమిట్లుతాల్పక యాచందంబున నెయున్న యప్పుడునిన్నున్ జూచితినెపోలవెలితిగ నీ చుక్కల దగిలికొనగనేటికి నాకున్.' BP. vi. 238. సోలెడు sōl-eḍu. adj. A small pailful. అరతవ్వెడు.

(p. 1387) hāni hāni. [Skt.] n. Loss, damage, detriment, injury, harm, mischief, ruin, peril. తక్కువగుట, నష్టము, చెరువు, కీడు, చేటు. హానివృద్ధులు adversity and prosperity. హానికరము hāni-karamu. adj. Doing injury, pernicious, injurious, harmful, చెరుపైన.
