(p. 503) taḍaka or తడిక taḍaka. [Tel.] n. A framework, a screen, a hurdle, what is called a tatty. A gate made of open bars, a mat used as a door. తప్పులతడక a pack of contradictions, a parcel of blunders, a heap or tissue of falsehoods.

(p. 508) tappu tappu. [Tel.] v. n. To err, fail, cease. To be lost, broken, changed, made void, or erroneous. దైవానుగ్రహము తప్పినందున through the divine favour being lost. To drop off, as a shackle. To go off, abate, as a pain. రేపుతప్పినది the ford is missed. అడుగులో పిడుగుతిప్పు a great mistake in a short space. ఆయువుతప్పినవాడయినాడు he declined into the vale of years. v. a. To transgress, to miss. తప్పుచేయు, అతిక్రమించు. దినము తప్పుదినము every other day, missing one day in turn. ఒకటితప్పి ఒకటి one now and then; here and there one. తప్పివచ్చినపని a thing that happened unexpectedly, or out of the common way. మాటతప్పు to break one's word or promise. తప్పక tappaka. adv. Unfailingly, steadfastly, steadily, certainly, surely. తప్పచూచు tappa-ṭsūṭsu. v. t. To disregard. దైవము తప్ప చూచినందున as God withdrew his favour. తప్పు or తప్పితము or తప్పిదము. (తప్పు+ఇతము or ఇదము.) n. An error, fault, mistake, offence. తప్పుపలుకు to say what is wrong or false. తప్పులుపట్టు to find fault with, to cavil. adj. Erroneous, mistaken, faulty, wrong. Foul or entangled. తప్పుకూడు unlawful food. తప్పుటడుగులు పెట్టు to stagger or totter as an infant. తప్పుదారి or తప్పుదోవ a wrong road. తప్పించు tappinṭsu. v. a. To extricate, to set free విడిపించు. To take away, remove, lose, shift, alter. తాడు తప్పించుట to get the cord free, to extricate it. నా జీవనము తప్పించినాడు he took away my living. To elude ముఖము తప్పించు to abscond. To cause to cross over, pass by, transgress, depart from (an agreement.) దోవతప్పించినాడు he misled me. తప్పించుకొను tappinṭsu-konu. v. n. To get free, to escape. ప్రాణము తప్పించుకొని వస్తిని I escaped with my life. తప్పుడు or తప్పుదల. tappuḍu. n. Missing, making a mistake తప్పుట. తప్పుడు adj. Wrong తప్పైన. తప్పుడుపడు or తప్పుపడు to make a mistake సరితప్పు.

(p. 683) noḍucu noḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To find fault with. తప్పులుపట్టు. నొడుపు noḍupu. n. Fault-finding. తప్పులుపట్టుట.

(p. 886) bilibili bili-bili. [Tel.] adj. Sweet, delicate, nice. ముద్దైన, మురిపెపు. 'చులకనిపద్యమైన గడు చోద్యమముచేయుచు విన్నవాని పెద్దలు గొనయాడగాను వినితప్పులుబట్టదలంతురక్షముల్ బిలిపలికెడు చిల్కపిల్లగని బావురుపిల్లులు సంతసిల్లునే.' G. i. 17. 'రమణినీవుస్వయంవరమున శ్రీరాము, క్రమమొప్పగైకొన్న కథజెప్పుమనిన, బిలిబిలినవ్వునుసిగ్గునుదొలుక, పలికెజానకియత్రిభార్యనీక్షించి.' DRU.

(p. 898) beḍidamu or బేడిదము beḍidamu. [from Skt. భేదితము.] n. Horror, terror, dread, భయంకరత్వము. Cruelty, కఠినత్వము. Evil, కీడు, చెరుపు 'తాను నేననియెడు తప్పులోబెడిదంబు, మానికడు వివేకమహిమదనరి, యూరకున్నవాడు నుత్తమోత్తముడురా.' Vēma. 1027. adj. Horrible, dreadful, terrible. భయంకరమైన, ఘోరమైన. Great. అధికమైన. Hard, కఠినమైన. 'తాకి నరాఘవుండు బెడిదంబగునమ్ములవెల్లిదెల్పనక్కాకు నోర్చివాడు.' Padma. viii. 162. బెడిదముగ beḍidamu-ga. adv. Horribly, dreadfully, terribly. ఘోరముగా. బెడిదుడు beḍi-duḍu. n. A fearful or cruel man. భయంకరుడు, కఠినుడు, బెడిదురాలు bedidu-rālu. n. A fearful or cruel woman.

(p. 1107) lē lē. [Tel.] The base of the negative forms లేక, లేని, లేదు, &c. లేక lēka. past participle of లేదు. Not being, not being present, without, wanting. అతడు అక్కడ లేకపోవుటవల్ల by his not being there. వానికి రూకలు లేకపోవుటవల్ల by being in want of money. దాన్ని అణిచేవారులేక యిట్లు విడబడి తిరిగినది she played these pranks as there was no one to check her. కూటికిలేక being in want of food. When added to the infinitive, it means Unable. రాలేక unable to come. దానిని చూడలేక unable to look at it, unable to bear the sight of it. లేకుండ or లేకుండా lēk-unḍā. is used in much the same way as లేక; e.g. అతడు లేకుండ నావల్లకాదు I cannot do it without him లేకుండాచేయు lēk-unḍā-chēyu. v. a. To do away, to get rid of, to turn out. నివృత్తిచేయు. వారిని ఆ యింటిలోలేకుండా చేయుము turn them out of the house. అది వాడు ఇవ్వనక్కరలేకుండా చేస్తిని I relieved him from the necessity of giving it. లేకుండు lēk-unḍu. v. n. To be absent, to be wanting. లేడు lēḍu. He is not; he is not present. ఇంటిలోలేడు he is not in the house. చేయలేడు he cannot do it. వీక్షంపగలేడయ్యె. he could not behold it. లేదా lēdā. It it not? or, or else. అది అక్కడ లేదా is it not there? లేదు lēdu. It is not. అది అక్కడ లేదు. it is not there. లేనట్టు lēn-aṭṭu. As if it is not అతడు లేనట్టున్నది it appears he is not there. అతడు లేనట్టు తెలిసి knowing that he was not there. లేని lēni. adj. Devoid of. తెలివిలేనివాడు he who is devoid of sense. వాడు నోరులేనివాడు he is a dumb creature, a mere fool. తప్పులేని faultless. దోవలేని అడవి a pathless forest. వెలలేనిమాణిక్యము a priceless gem. లేనిపోనిపని nonsense, a fool's errand. లేనిపోనిసౌఖ్యములు vain deluding joys. లేనిమాటలు slanders, falsehoods. లేనిపోనిసాకు a false pretence. పోరులేని పోరుపుట్టె నీప్రొద్దు a dispute arose without cause. 'అదియుగాక రాజ్యమును మహాభూతంబు సోకినప్పు డెట్టిసుజనులకును లేనిచీకుదనములేనిమూగతనము, లేని చెవుడు గొంతయైనకలదు.' K. P. v. 248. లేనివారు the absent; the poor. లేమి lēmi. n. Nullity, not being, absence, want, poverty. కలుగమి, ఉండమి, దారిద్య్రము. 'జనకుడు లేమికింగడువిషాదము నొందె.' M. X. ii. 17. ధనములేమి want of wealth. కలిమిలేములు gains and losses, riches and poverty. లేమిడి lēmiḍi. n. Poverty, want. దారిద్య్రము. లేరు lēru. v. 3rd. pers. plu. They are not. M. V. i. 342. వారు లేరు they are not here. not living. లేవు lēvu. v. (neuter.) They are not.
