(p. 1013) musugu , ముసుకు, ముసువు or ముసుకుగుడ్డ musugu. [Tel.] n. A veil, a covering for the head, తలమీది కప్పడము. ముసుకువేసికొను. ముసిగిడు or ముసుగుపెట్టుకొను to put on a veil, to cover with a veil. 'కనకోత్తరీయంబు మేలుముసుంగుగాకీలుగొల్ప.' Ahalya. i. 23. ముసుగుడు musuguḍu. n. Covering, కప్పుడ, కప్పుట. ముసుగుపడు, ముసుగుడుపడు or ముసుగుపారు musugu-paḍu. v. n. To be covered up, కప్పుడుపడు. ముసుగుబొంద musugu-bonda. n. A small tree of the palm species whose leaves are never cut off, మట్టలు ఊడని తాడిలోనగు చిన్నచెట్టు.

(p. 1356) soḍḍu soḍḍu. [from Skt. శౌణ్ఠ్యమ్.] n. A slap on the head of a loser in a game, applied with both the winner's hands. (Metaphorically,) a defect, fault, imputation, ఆటలో నోడినవాని తలమీదవేయు దెబ్బ, లోపము, న్యునత, కొరత, సొడ్డువేయు to give such a slap with the open hand, to dupe or to make a fool of. 'సోమయాజినిబట్టి సొడ్లవ్రేసెనురంభ.' Vema. 903. 'నిఖిలదేవతలకు నెమకెవేమనసొడ్డు.' ib. 2139. అతడు చేసిన పనిలో నొక సొడ్డుగలదా is there any defect in the work he has done? సొడ్లమర or చొట్లమర soḍla-mara. n.
