(p. 52) anipiñcu anipinṭsụ. [Tel. causative of అను.] v. n. To cause one to say. జ్వరములో ఉరికె నీళ్లు తాగవలెననిపించును in a fever one is inclined to drink constantly. ఇంత చల్లగాలి కొట్టితే ఎండకాలమనిపించదు while this cool breeze blows it does not seem to be summer (lit.) the heat is not felt. యోగ్యుడనిపించుకొన్నాడు he was considered a good man.

(p. 218) ōra ōra. [Tel.] n. The side, border, edge. అంచు. A whole day and night అహోరాత్రము. ఒక ఓరను ఉంటిమి we stood on one side. ఓరగా sidelong, sideways. తలుపోరగా చేసెor ఓరవాకిలి చేసినది she opened the door a little, or, set it a jar. ఓరబోయి becoming crooked వంకరపోయి. (p. 280) kāṣṭhamu kāsṭhamu. [Skt.] n. Wood. (In Telugu this is the usual phrase for the wood used in the funeral pile.) కాష్ఠగతాగ్ని latent heat. A quarter, region or airt. దిక్కు. A moment, a second. పదునెనిమిది రెప్పపాట్లకాలము.

(p. 292) kuḍuṅgamu kuḍungamu. [Skt.] n. A bower, arbour. లతాగృహము, పొదరిల్లు.

(p. 310) kēvalamu kēvalamu. [Skt.] adj. and adv. Pure, mere, simple, unmixed, uncompounded. ఒక్కటేయైన. ఇది కేవలము బంగారు తోచేసినది this is made with gold alone. కేవలము నీళ్లేతాగినాడు he drank nothing but water. వాడు కేవలవైయాకరణుడు he is a mere grammarian. వాడు కేవల నైయాయికుడు he is a mere logician. Altogether, in every respect. అంతయున్ను: as ఈ పట్టణము కేవలము లంకవలెనున్నది this city is in every respect like Lanka. ఇది కేవలమనృతము this is entirely false. కేవలుడు kēvaluḍu. n. The supreme Spirit పరమాత్మ.

(p. 329) kōlukonu or కోత్కొను kōlu-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To recover, be cured, be remedied. To come to good, become ripe. తేరుకొను, వర్ధిల్లు. ఆమదము తాగితే నెలదాక కోలుకోనను if I take oil I do not recover from it for a month.

(p. 346) gañji ganji. [Tel.] n. Gruel, rice-water. అన్నరసము. A trifling meal or subsistence. గంజితాగడమునకుపోతిని I went to get something to eat. గంజివేసినబట్ట starched linen. గంజిబుగ్గ or గంజిపొక్కు a sore, పొక్కిన పొక్కు గంజితొరక the cream that collects on rice-water. గంజిమీది మీగడ.
