(p. 601) duddu duddu. [Tel.] n. The pericarp or centre bulb of a lotus: తామర పువ్వులోని దిమ్మె, కర్ణిక. A mark on a letter written on a palm leaf, తాటాకుజాబుమీది చంద్రిక. A sort of ear ornament worn by women. ఒక విధమైన చెవికమ్మ. adj. Coarse, not fine. False, అసత్యము. దుద్దుపెట్టు to evade, elude. దుద్దెక్కు duddekku. v. n. To excel. అతిశయించు. BD. i. 910. ఇట్లు చేయడానకు వానికేమి దుద్దుపట్టినది (అనగా దురద) what could bewitch him to do this? దుద్దుకంబళి or దుద్దుగొంగళి duddu-kambaḷi. n. A sort of woollen cloth.

(p. 991) muṅgāmu mungāmu. [Tel.] n. A palmyra leaf folded like a packet, పొట్లముగా మడిచిన తాటాకుమట్ట. Half a packetful of anything, బెల్లములోనగువానిని నించిన బరువులో సగము. ముంగాముచీరె or ముంగాచీరె mungāmu-chīre. n. A kind of cloth worn by women.

(p. 1047) mōra mōra. [Tel.] n. The projecting face of animals. Phiz, a word of contempt for face, మూతి. (నిందయందు) మనుష్యముఖము. మోరచ్చుచెప్పులు shoes put on the wrong way so as to deceive those who trace the wearer. చనుమోరలు the tips of the breasts. కటుమోరలు the cheek bones. (p. 1157) vāru vāru. [Tel. plu. of వాడు. he.] pron. They, వాండ్రు. It is also thus used, as equivalent to people folk. నావారు my people. మీవారు your people. ఈ యూరివారు the people of this village. నేను చూచినవారు the people whom I saw. Added to some nouns it has an honorific sense, as దేవరవారు, దొరవారు your honor. Infl. వారి their. వారు v. n. To flow down, or drain off, as water from boiled rice, వడియు, గంజిమొదలైనదికారు. To be lessened or diminished, ఉడుగు. v. a. To pare or cut thin, as the ends of a palm leaf. తాటాకు ఓరచివ్వు. వారుకొను vāru-konu. v. a. To take up by the handful. Metaphorically, to get, gain, possess oneself of. పిడికిళ్లాదిగా ఎత్తుకొను, పొందు; చెందు. నన్ను మోసము చేసి వాడేమి వారుకొన్నాడు has he gained any thing by cheating me? వారుచు or వార్చు vāruṭsu. (causal of వారు) v. a. To touch water with the lips and cast it away. ఆచమించు. To cause to flow, వారజేయు. గంజివార్చు to pour off the water from boiled rice by inclining the vessel, వారు నట్టుచేయు. To expect, ప్రతీక్షించు, ఉద్దేశించు. సంధ్యవార్చు to offer up prayers: (because while uttering the prayer called సంథ్య they let water run through their hungers.) 'హేమకుంభ జలములనొగివార్చి జలకంబుదీర్చి.' DRU. 774. 'సంధ్యవార్చువేళ.' G. vi. 17. వారుపు or వార్పు vārupu. n. The act of straining water or letting it flow, ఆచమనము. Water poured off from boiling rice, గంజి.

(p. 1273) sañcitamu sanchitamu. [Skt.] adj. Gathered, amassed, accumulated, collected. సంపాదించబడిన, ఆర్జింపబడిన, కూడబెట్టబడిన. 'పూర్వజన్మసంచితములైన దోషములు.' (B. iii. 1001.) the sins contracted in a former birth. సంచిక sanchika. n. A section or part of a book.
