(p. 338) kṣaṇamu kshaṇamu. [Skt.] n. A moment, an instant. పదివిఘడియలు. A feast. తిరునాళ్లు, ఉత్సవము. M. I. i. 147. అరక్షణము half a second, for awhile. క్షణప్రభ kshaṇa-prabha. n. A momentary flash. మెరుపు. క్షణభంగురము kshaṇa-bhanguramu. adj. Frail, perishing, mortal. నశ్యమైన. 'క్షణభంగురములు కాంతలతాల్ముల్' (KP. iii. 60.) woman's patience is but momentary. క్షణియించు kshaṇi-yinṭsu. v. t. To stop for a moment. క్షణము ఆపు. To invite for meals. భోజనార్థముకోరు.

(p. 530) tiru tiru. [A Tamil word for Skt. శ్రీ.] adj. Blessed or holy. (This is used in a variety of ways by Vaishṇavites.) తిరుకాపు tiru-kāpu. n. Adorning the god. దేవతనలంకరించుట. తిరుకొలను a sacred tank, పుష్కరిణి. తిరుచూర్ణము the sacred powder used to mark the forehead by the Vaishṇavites, శ్రీచూర్ణము, తిరునామము, వైష్ణవబొట్టు. తిరుమణి [మణి = మన్ను] the sacred earth, a kind of white clay used in making the sectarian mark (నామము). తిరుపగూడ a small basket in which the తిరుమణి and other things are kept. తిరుపతి tiru-pati. n. A town, Tripati తిరుమల. తిరుమజ్జినము tiru-majjanamu. n. The sacred bath given to an idol. దేవతాభిషేకము. తిరుమన్ను same as తిరుమణి. తిరుమాళిగ tiru-māḷiga. n. A Vaishṇavite's word for a house (వైష్ణవపరిభాష యందు) గృహము.

(p. 531) tirunāḷla tiru-nāḷḷa. [Tel.] n. A temple festival. దేవోత్సవము. 'తెప్పతిరునాళ్లరా.' ఆము. ii. See తిరు.

(p. 548) teppa teppa. [Tel.] n. A raft or float, a cattamaran. కట్టుమ్రాను. వానితెప్ప మునిగినది his foot is sunk, i.e., he is totally ruined. తెప్ప బయలుదేరినట్టు ఉన్నది it is as if (his) raft has come to the surface, i.e., he has recovered his spirits. తెప్పలదేలు to be rife, to abound, rejoice, revel. ఓలలాడు. తెప్పలతేలగా or తెప్పతెప్పలుగ abundantly. T. ii. 34. అగ్గితెప్ప a flake of fire. తెప్పతిరునాళ్ల the raft feast, when the god is placed on a float and rowed over a pond or reservoir. తెప్పతెరలగ teppa-tearala-ga. adv. At pleasure, యథేచ్ఛముగా. At full speed. అతివేగముగా.

(p. 1281) sambaramu or సంబ్రము sambaramu. [from Skt. సంభ్రమము.] n. Joy, delight. A feast, festival, merry making. సంతోషము, కేళిక, ఉత్సవము, తిరునాళ్ల, పండుగ. సంబరమించు (for సంభ్రమించు.) sambara-minṭsu. v. n. To be delighted. సంతసిల్లు. Pal. 30.
