(p. 1046) mōduga, mōdugu or మోదువు mōduga. [Tel.] n. The tree called Bastard Teak. Butca frondosa. పాలాశము, కింశుకము. తీగెమోదుగు Butea superba. (Watts.) ములుమోదుగు a thorny species. మోదుగు తొడిమెలు mōdugu-toḍimelu. n. The name given to a kind of fine rice, having long grains, ఒకజాతివడ్లు. 'మోదుగ తొడిమెలు ముదుకసరులు.' H. iv. 157. మోదుగుమోడలు mōdugu-māḍalu. n. A kind of rice, ఒకజాతివడ్లు. The seeds of the Bastard Teak tree, మోదుగువిత్తులు.

(p. 1084) reḍḍi reḍḍi. [Tel.] n. A title annexed to the proper names of the members of the farmer caste. The head man of a village. రెడ్డిపాలవంకలు reḍḍi-pāla-vankalu. n. A sort of grain. 'మోదుగుతొడిమెలలు ముదుక సరులు, పచ్చసరుల్ రెడ్డిపాలవంకలు సుఖభోగులు పచ్చకర్పూరసరులు.' H. iv. 157. రెడ్డివారి నానబ్రాలు reḍḍi-vāri-nāna-brālu. n. A plant. Euphorbia thymifolia or E. hypersifolia.
