(p. 16) ampakāḍu ampakāḍu. [Tel. from అమ్ము.] n. One who carries an arrow విల్లుచేతబట్టిన వాడు, ధానుష్కుడు. A marks man, a skilful archer. గురితప్పక అమ్మువేయువాడు, కృతహస్తుడు. 'హదనువచ్చుదాకనపరాధిపైరోష 'మాగిహదనుగన్నడనపవలయు లక్ష్యసిద్ధిదాకలావునశరమాగి కాడవిడుచునంపకాడుపోలె.' Amuk. iv.

(p. 587) dānavuḍu dānavudu. [Skt. from దనువు. The father of the giant race.] n. A demon. fiend, giant, తొలువేల్పు, దనుజుడు. దానవారి dānav-āri. (దానవ+అరి.) n. The queller of the giants, a god, దేవత, వేల్పు. దానవి an ogress or a giantess.

(p. 647) nāsti nāsti. [Skt.] n. Lit: 'It is not.' A cipher, nonenity, nullity. నాస్తికుడు nāstikuḍu. n. One who denies the existence of an after-life, పరలోకము లేదనువాడు. An atheist, a heretic. నాస్తిక్యము or నాస్తికత nāstikyamu. n. Atheism.
