Sharp, hot, తీక్ష్ణము. మిడిమాధ్యాహ్నము midday, noon. మిడిముళ్లు spurs. మిడికించు miḍi-kinṭsu. v. n. To blink (the eyes), మిణకరించు. 'కమలుమిడికించునుగుడ్లగూబరీతి.' S. iii. 32. blinking like an owl. మిడిగుడ్లు miḍi-guḍlu. n. Large prominent eyes. మిడిగుడ్లవాడు a man with large eyes. మిడిగొను miḍi-gonu. v. n. To glitter, to flash. మెరయు. 'మిడిగొనుపైడిచేకటులు, మేలిమినూలుదండ.' H. iv. 101. మిడినాగు or మిణ్నాగు miḍi-nāgu. n. A springing serpent. Pragmatic, hot headed, haughty. తలకొట్లమారియైన. తలకొవ్విన. 'అడిగినజీతంబియ్యని మిడిమేలపుదొరనుగొలిచి మిడుకుటకంటెన్. వడిగలయెద్దులగట్టుక మడిదున్నుక బ్రతుకవచ్చు మహిలోసుమతీ.' Sumati Satakam. మిడిమేలము miḍi-mēlamu. n. Insolence, haughtiness, మిడసిపాటు. 'మగువలుమగలని యెరుగడు, మృగములకోరసిలడేమి మిడిమేలమితండగపడుననితలచితిమే.' R. ii. 112. మిడియ miḍiya. n. A word of the Veda, వేద వాక్యము. 'క తలచియపుడందొకింతయు దొలుతటితరవాతి మిడియదోచకమరియె వ్వలనరసినశ్రుతిశబ్దము పలకునకున్ రాక పెగడుపరచినగలకన్.' పర. ii. మిడియు miḍiyu. v. n. To flash or fly off as a chip of wood or a drop of water. ఎగురు. ఆ రాతిచెక్క మిడిసిపడినది the chip of the stone leaped out and fell down. మిడివిల్లు miḍi-villu. n. A pellet bow, ఉండవిల్లు. 'తడియుచుకైతవతరుణియెక్కిన మిడివింటిగతినున్న మెలతలుడాసి.' Dab. 170. మిడిసిపడు miḍisi-paḍu. v. n. To bounce, leap; to be insolent, మిట్టిపడు, త్రుళ్లిపడు. మిడిసిపడి చచ్చినాడు he suddenly fell down dead. మిడిసిపాటు miḍisi-pāṭu. n. Bouncing, exultation, pride, త్రుళ్లుట.

(p. 1159) vālu or వ్రాలు vālu. [Tel.] v. n. To bend or weigh down. To light or perch. To hang loose; to fall down. కొమ్మ మొదలైనవివంగు, చెట్టుమీదిపక్షిదిగు, కిందికిదిగు, దిగువపడు, వంగు, ౛ారు, ఒరగు. To increase, అతిశయించు. v. a. A bright eyed woman; lit: a long-eyed girl. దీర్ఘములైనకన్నులుగల స్త్రీ, ఆయతాక్షి, విశాలాక్షి. వాలుగడుపు or వాల్గడుపు vālu-gaḍupu. n. A projecting or protuberant belly, బొ౛్జ. వాలుగొమ్ము a canal or sluice. వాలుచు or వాల్చు vāluṭsu. v. a. To bend, incline, slant. కిందికివంచు. Hanging down. వాలుడుకొమ్మలు branches that hang down. n. A kind of tree. ఎర్రవాలుడు the red kind. వాలుడుచెక్క the bark of this tree used in medicine. వాలుడుతైలము the oil extracted from this bark. 'కోరివాలుడుతైలంబు గ్రోలువారు.' P. i. 725. వాలుపు or వాల్పు valupu. n. Bending down, వాల్చుట. వాలుప్రొద్దు vālu-pṛoddu. n. The morning or evening sun, లేతప్రొద్దు, అపరాహ్ణము, వాలుమగడు vālamagaḍu. n. The pods in a cotton fruit, ప్రత్తికాయలోని జెడ. 'విడిగలమానికముంబుత్తడితోడం గూర్చినట్లు.' P.iii. 285. adj. Red, అరుణము. Clear, transparent, స్వచ్ఛమైన, నిర్మలమైన. Single, unoccupied, unemployed, loose. ఒంటరిగానుండే, మిగిలియుండే, ఒకటి నొకటి చేరకుండా ఉండే. విడిగోలు viḍi-gōlu. adj. Spare, unemployed. మారుపు, పనిలేని. విడిగోలు ఎద్దులు spare bullocks. వఅడు విడి గోలుమీద దున్నును he ploughs with different yokes of cattle in turn. విడిదల viḍi-dala. (విడిది+తల.) n. A halting place. విడియుచోటు, విడిసినచోటు, దండుదిగినస్థలము. 'విడిదలకుపోయినపుడు నీకొడుకులెల్లనాపగా నందునునికడరుగుదెంచి.' M. VI. iii. 70. విడిది viḍidi. n. Halting, విడియుట. A lodging, a residence, దిగుబస. విడిసినచోటు. 'ఈ విడిదింటిలోనీకేలమాయ.' L. iv. 240. విడిదిచేయు viḍidi-chēyu. v. n. To halt, stay, abide, దిగు, బసచేయు, విడిపట్టు viḍi-paṭṭu. (విడిది+పట్టు.) n. A halting place, విడిదిచోటు. A lodging, inn, బస. 'అమర విభుండు చేరి వినయానతుడై విడిపట్టువైజుయంతమునకు జిత్తగింపుమన.' Parij. iii. 76. విడిమట్టు viḍi-maṭṭu. n. A dwelling place, వాసస్థానము, కాపురస్థలము. Also, same as విడిది. విడిమట్టుచేయు viḍi-maṭṭu-chēyu. v. n. To halt, stay, lodge, దండుదిగు, బసచేయు. విడిపడు or విడిపడు viḍi-paḍu. v. n. To separate, విడు, విడబడు. To slip, ౛ారు, To escape, get free, break loose, to shake off (shame), విడిపించుకొను, జంకువిడుచు. విడిపోవు or విడివోవు viḍi-pōvu. v. n. To cease or terminate. తనకుతానే వదలు, విడివడు. విడిముడి viḍi-muḍi. n. Wealth, riches, ధనము, ఐశ్వర్యము, విడియత్తము viḍi-y-attamu. n. The glove or leather worn on the huntsman's arm for the hawk to perch upon. డేగమొదలైనవి కూర్చుండడమునకై వేటకాని చేతికి కట్టుకొనేచర్మము. (p. 1385) halamu halamu. [Skt.] n. A plough, నాగలి, హలరేఖ in palmistry, a mark in the palm, resembling a plough and denoting victory. హలి or హలాయుధుడు hali. n. A ploughman, మడకదున్నువాడు. Also, an epithet applied to Balarama. హలికుడు halikuḍu. n. A ploughman. కృషికుడు, దున్నుకొని బ్రతికేవాడు. హల్య halya. n. A field once ploughed. హల్యము halyamu. adj. Ploughed, tilled. దున్నబడ్డ. n. N. i. 42. హాలికుడు or హలికుడు hālikuḍu. n. A ploughman, a farmer, a cultivator, a husbandman. కృషికుడు, కావు, దున్నుకొని బ్రతికేవాడు, రెడ్డి.
