(p. 63) apahariñcu apa-harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To pillage, plunder, take by violence or deceit, usurp. ముచ్చిలించు, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవు. అపహరణము apa-haraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Plundering, purloining, carrying off, stealing. చౌర్యము, ముచ్చిలించడము, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవడము. అపహర్త n. One who carries away by force or violence, a thief, rogue. అపహారము apahāramu. [Skt.] n. Pillage, plunder, taking by violence. దోచుకోవడము. సర్వస్వాపహారము robbing of everything. హాదత్తాపపాదము taking back a gift. దత్తాహృతము adj. that which is robbed or stolen.

(p. 156) utrāsi utrāsi. [Tel.] n. The upper hinge of door, a pivot on which the door turns. Same as ఉత్తరాసి. The lower hinge is called ఉతక utaka. ఉతకయెత్తి దోచుకొను to enter the house as a thief does by lifting the door out of its socket.

(p. 169) uruvu or ఉర్వు uruvu. [Tel.] v. t. To get rid of. పరిహరించు. n. Form, shape. రూపము. ఉరువు adj. Great, big, large. గొప్ప. v. t. To flay. తోలు దోచుట. Also, same as ఉరుగొట్టు. టెంకాయ ఉరువుగా నుండే as large as a cocoanut. ఆ పని యింకా ఉరువు ఏర్పడ లేదు that work is as yet in embryo.

(p. 192) ellāpi ellāpi. [Tel. ఎల్ల+ఆపి] n. One who robs people within a certain tract of country. ఒక యెల్లయందుండి దోచుకొనేవాడు A rogue, a swindler. దొంగ. ఎల్లాపితనము ellāpi-tanamu. n. Cunning, guile, roguery, swindling. ఎల్లాపికత్తె ellāpi-katte. n. A female swindler. ఎల్లాపికత్తె

(p. 324) kolla kolla. [Tel.] n. Plenty, Pillage, plunder. దోపుడు. అరిటిపండ్లుకొల్లగానున్నవి plantains are plentiful or dirtcheap. అది నాకు కొల్ల it is more enough for me. కొల్లకాడు kolla-kāḍu. n. A plunderer కొల్ల పెట్టువాడు. కొల్లకొట్టు, కొల్లగొను, కొల్లపెట్టు, కొల్లపోవు or కొల్లాడు kolla-koṭṭu. v. t. To plunder. దోచుకొను. కొల్లరి kollari. n. A bandit, plunderer, or hill robber. కొల్లలిడు kolla-l-iḍu. v. t. To plunder.

(p. 614) dōṣa dōsha. [Skt.] n. Night. రాత్రి. The arm, భుజము. దోషము dōshamu. n. Harm, evil. A fault, crime. An error, mistake, తప్పు. Sin, పాపము. A bad sign: a fatal symptom in illness. ప్రమాణముయొక్క దోషము the penalty of an oath. దోషములేదు there is no harm done. దోచుకొన్న దోషము the guilt of robbery. స్పర్శదోషము the do-filement caused by a touch. దోషగుణములు పుట్టినవి bad symptoms appeared. దోషకారి dōsha-kāri. n. An evil doer. దోషము చేయువాడు, దుష్టుడు, దుష్టురాలు, దోషజ్ఞుడు dōsha-gnyuḍu. n. A physician, one skilled in diseases. వైద్యుడు. A learned man విద్వాంసుడు, దోషము నెరిగినవాడు. దోషాకరుడు dōshākaruḍu. n. The moon. చంద్రుడు. దోషాచరుడు dōshā-charuḍu. n. A flend that 'walks at night.' రాక్షసుడు. దోషి dōshi. n. A sinner. దోషముగలవాడు. A criminal. దోషించు dōshinṭsu. v. n.To turn out ill. To come on (as bad symptoms.) దోషముపుట్టు. అతనికి దోషించినది bad symptoms appeared in his case.

(p. 661) nilcu or నిలుచు niluṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To stand. To remain, exist, last, live. continue. To stay, stop, halt. నిలిచిపోవు. To be still or quiet, as a fluid in a vessel. To be firm or steadfast. To bear, be patient, restrain one's feelings. To be repressed, allayed, slackened. వాని మాట నిలిచినది he kept his word. నిలిచికురియదు it does not rain steadily. ఆ బడి నిలిచిపోయినది the school is now closed. పని నిలిచిపోయినది the work has stopped. M. XII. v. 459. నిలుపాటి or నిలువుపాటి long, పొడుగైన. నిలువబెట్టు to set up , erect. నిలువతీయు to set one on his legs. నిలుచుండు or నిల్చుండు niluṭs-unḍu. (నిలిచి+ఉండు.) v. n. To remain standing, to continue to stand. నిలుచుండు. నిలుడుకొ Same as నిలుచుండు. నిల used for నిలువ. నిలబడు, నిలువబడు or నిల్వబడు nila-baḍu. v. n. To stand. నిలుచుండు. To be stopped. అడ్డుపడు. Upright, standing, High, tall. నిలువుచెంబు a cup with upright sides, a mug. నిలువుఅంచనా reckoning upon the standing crop. నిలువుటద్దము niluvu-ṭ-addamu. n. A pier glass, a full length mirror. నిలువుకొలువు or నిలువుజీతము service in which one has to stand up always and is not allowed to sit. నిలుచుండిచేయు సేవ. నిలువుకాళ్లు stilts. నిలవరము, నిలువరము or నిల్వరము nilava-ramu. n. Firmness, steadfastness. The truth, certainity. A deposit, money lodged. adj. True, certain, fixed, firm, stable, sure, స్థిరమైన. నిలవరించు, నిలువరించు or నిల్వరించు nilavarinṭsu. v. n. (p. 781) pūrṇamu pūrṇamu. [Skt.] adj. Full, filled, నిండిన. Complete, all, entire. సమస్తము. Strong, powerful, able. శక్తిగల. పూర్ణకము pūrṇakamu. n. A filling up; as పాదపూర్ణకము a peg in a verse: any useless word inserted to fill the measure, as ఒగి, తగన్, ఇల, &c. పూర్ణకుంభము pūrṇa-kumbhamu. n. An ornamented vase filled with water and used in marriages, &c. పూర్ణగర్భము pūrṇa-garbhamu. n. A sort of cake. బూరె. పూర్ణపాత్రము or పూర్ణానకము pūrṇa-pātramu. n. A full cup or vessel, a vessel filled with cloths or ornaments, which are scrambled for at a festival, a vessel full of rice presented at a sacrifice to the superintending and officiating priests. హర్షాదుత్సవకాలే యదలంకారాంబరాదికం. కట్నము కోసరము పండ్లు పసుపుబట్టలు మొదలైనవి ఉంచిన పళ్లెము; ఉత్సవకాలమందు సంతోషముచేత వస్త్రాభరణాదికమును దోచుకొనుట; వస్తుసంపూర్ణపాత్రము. పూర్ణమాసము or పౌర్ణమాసము pūrṇa-māsamu. n. A sacrifice performed on the day of the full moon. పూర్ణము or పూర్నము pūrṇamu. n. The inside of a pie. The stuffing of a cake. పూర్ణిమ or పౌర్ణిమాసి pūrṇima. n. The lunar day on which the moon is full. పున్నమ, పౌర్నమి. పూర్ణీభవించు pūrṇī-bhavinṭsu. v. n. To become full, నిండు, పూర్ణమగు. పూర్ణుడు pūrṇuḍu. n. One who is full or well skilled. వాడు విద్యలో పూర్ణుడు he is an accomplished scholar.

(p. 1037) moggu or మ్రొగ్గు moggu. [Tel.] v. n. To incline, to lean on one side. To be depressed, as a scale in weighing, to bow down under a burden, to show an inclination toward, to be inclined to, వంగు, వాలు, తూలు. 'అంబరంబిలమ్రొగ్గె నహిపతిస్రగ్గె.' BD. v. 268. n. Leaning, inclination. ఒకతట్టుకై తూలడము, వంగడము, వాలడము, 'దిగ్గనలేచియోబసవధీమణి మీ మదిదోచుమార్గమే మొగ్గగుగాన పోదమని ముందచారునిబంప.' Chenna. iv. 358. మొగ్గగు, విశేషముగానున్నది, ఘనముగానున్నది. మొగ్గటిలు, మొగ్గటిల్లు మొగ్గతిలు or మ్రొగ్గతిల్లు moggatilu. v. n. To bend down, to stoop. వంగు. To kneel down, మోకరిల్లు. 'చదికిలబడిదిగ్గజములుసరి మ్రొగ్గతిలన్.' BRY. ii. 437. 'ముందటికాళ్లుతునిసి మ్రొగ్గతిలంబడియును, మొదలుపరియలైన, నెరిదప్పగూలియు.' M. VI. iii. 218. మొగ్గరము moggaramu. n. An array, వ్యూహము. 'అరసం౛కెం౛ాయకెదురు మొగ్గరములై కనుపట్టువల్కలాగ్రములు దూల.' R. v. 112. M. IX. i. 318.

(p. 1198) vihitamu vi-hitamu. [Skt.] adj. Ordered, prescribed, ordained, విధింపబడిన. Fit, proper, right, orderly, necessary. Friendly, intimate. Placed, deposited. Done, made. యుక్తమైన, అనుకూలమైన, ఉంచబడ్డ, చేయబడ్డ. వారిగ్రామములు దోచుట విహితముకాదని considering that it is not proper for use to plunder their villages. 'ఇమ్మహాభారతంబిమ్ముల బాయకవిహితావధానులైవినుచునుండువారికి.' M. I. i. 114. విహితము vi-hitamu. n. Friendship, intimacy. Propriety, fitness, justice. స్నేహము, యుక్తము, న్యాయము. అది విహితమే that is proper. అది విహితము కాదు that is not proper. విహితముగా vi-hitamu-gā. adv. In a friendly manner, on good terms, స్నేహముగా, అనుకూలముగా. విహితుడు vi-hituḍu. n. A friend, companion, ally. స్నేహితుడు, అనుకూలుడు. తమకు విహితులైనవారు those who are your friends.

(p. 1383) hariñcu or హరియించు harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be digested, to waste away, to perish, go off or disappear, as a disease, to subside, క్షయించు, క్షీణించు, జీర్ణించు, అడగు. భేదికియిచ్చిన ఔషధము హరించిపోయినది the medicine was carried off. i.e., the medicine did no good. v. a. To counteract, expel, as an antidote does; to carry off. To take by violence, usurp, plunder, rob, steal, kill, destroy. దోచుకొను, దొంగిలించు, చంపు, నాశముచేయు, అడచు. మజ్జిగ మామిడి పండ్ల విషమును హరించును butter-milk counteracts the bad effects of mangoes. 'చోరవృత్తిని హరించి తముంగొని పోవుచుండగా.' N. i. 239. హరణము hara-ṇamu. n. Seizing, taking away forcibly, removing, carrying or bearing off; as of pain, &c. Stealth, theft, rape. Lapse or passing of time. నివారణము. హరించుట. గ్రహణము. A special gift or bonus: a nuptial present, అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి. అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి ఇచ్చినసొమ్ము. భుక్తికైనాహరణభరణ శక్తి చూచినాను I did to the best of my power to gain my bread. మిక్కిలి కాలహరణ మయినది there has been much loss of time. ఆ సొమ్మును చెల్లించకుండా కాలహరణము చేయుచున్నాడు he is putting off the payment of the money. వాడు ఊరక కాలహరణము చేస్తున్నాడు he is wasting the time. హరింపు harimpu. n. Waste, loss, embezzlement, abstraction. నాశము, నష్టము, దోపిడి, అపహారము. హరింపులోకితెచ్చు to digest, జీర్ణించు. హరికుడు hari-kuḍu. n. A thief, a gambler. తస్కరుడు, ద్యూతకారుడు. హరికప్రయోగము gambling, ద్యూతము. 'రాజమృగాదిముఖబంధనంబును హరిక ప్రయోగంబును.' G. ix. 177.
