N. 7. 154. అగడుపడు v. To be blamed; to be confused. నిందపడు, తొట్రుపడు. బెగడువలదనుచుబెట్టిద మగునెవ్వగ నగడుపడుచు నాడుపడుచులే పగవారికి వలదననా పగవారికి నేలయొసగె పద్మజుడనుచున్. Vasu. vi.

(p. 27) agrasaruḍu agrēsaruḍu. [Skt. from అగ్రము.] n. A leader, chief. మెంనగాడు, మేటి.

(p. 27) accanagaṇḍlu, accanagāyalu or అచ్చనగుండ్లు aṭṭsana-gunḍlu. [Tel. singular అచ్చనకల్లు;] n. Chuck-stones. Pebbles which are tossed up, and caught on the back of the hand, in a game played by girls. 'ముదురువెన్నెల గాయ ముత్యాలదిన్నెపై పైడియచ్చనగండ్లు పారవైచి.' Yayati. iii. 149. అచ్చనలాడు or అచ్చనగాయలాడు to toss up balls and catch them on the back of the hand. నలాడండననియె నమ్మునితోడన్.' Jai. Bhar. i. 62.

(p. 83) aruvu aruvu. [Tel.] n. A loan in grains. ధాన్యాదుల అప్పు. అరుపుకాపు a tenant. అద్దె కాపు. అరువు. [cf. Tamil అరివి] n. Good sense; judgement; the reasoning faculty. తెలివి. వానికి అరువు చెడినది he has lost his wits. అరువుతిక్క aruvu-tikka. [Tel.] n. A disease among cattle in which the belly is swollen in consequence of eating green fodder. ఉంగిడిరోగము, అనగాపశువులకు వచ్చే ఒక వ్యాధి.

(p. 144) īnu īnu. [Tel.] v. a. To give produce (as fields of grain.) To yean or bear (young.) To give forth, emit (sound, or splendour.) ఈనగాచి నక్కలపాలు చేసినట్టు all one's care is thrown away. మెరుగులీనిన emitting radiance. నేలయీనిన విధమున as though the earth calved.

(p. 176) ūraka or ఊరికె ūraka. [Tel.] adv. Without. For nothing. Silently, merely, idly, in vain. Without cause, of itself, spontaneously, voluntarily, causelessly. Without employment; unoccupied, empty, vacant. ఇల్లు ఊరికె ఉన్నది the house is vacant. ఊరికె పోనిచ్చు to let a thing go free. ఊరికెవచ్చు without any special purpose. ఊరకుండు to submit, to still; to be passive or silent. చ ... 'ఒప్పుత, ప్పరయురసజ్ఞు లూహదెలియంగల లేఖ కపాఠకోత్తముల్, దొరికినగాక యూరకకృతుల్ రచియించుమటన్న శక్యమే.' (అల్లసాని పెద్దన్న) i.e., how can a poet compose verse without these conveniences?

'కన్న మోహంబునగాగునీకు' To thee who burnest with maternal love. కాగు n. A boiler, a kettle, a jar. పెద్దబాన.

(p. 268) kāṭu kāṭu. [Tel.] n. A bite, notch, cut, sear. కరుచుట, కరిచినగాయము. Being burnt or singed. మాడి అడుగంటుట.

(p. 317) koḍupu koḍupu. [Tel.] n. A barrel, a cylinder: the length of a bamboo between two knots. A thimble or guard worn on the finger when playing the guitar తంతిమీటుటకు వ్రేలికి వేసుకొనేగోరు. A stick used in striking a gong, a drumstick నగారాకొట్టెకొయ్య; కోణము. A hollow cylinder used in making vermicelli. జంతికలుచేసే సాధనము. అప్పడాల కొడువు a cylindrical stick used in flattening cakes. బలపపుకొడుప a slate pencil. జమ్ముకొడుపు the pod or cylindrical head of a bulrush. బొడుకొడువు or బల్లలకొడుపు (BD. iii. 2240.) a clog fastened to the neck of a bad tempered cow గదికొయ్య.

(p. 329) kōlamu kōlamu. [Tel.] n. A dance, dancing. నర్తనము. A pan, an earthen basin. (H. ii. 12.) [Skt.] A float or raft తెప్ప. An apple రేగుపండు. A hog పంది. కోలమాంసము Pork. Kalah. iii. 127.
