The space between any two beams, or pillars. రెండు దూలముల, లేక, స్తంభముల నడిమి ప్రదేశము. నలుచదరపుచోటు; తొట్టికట్టు. అంకణమునకు రూపాయి బాడిగ' the rent of each apartment is one rupee. మీదెన్ని అంకణముల యిల్లు how many apartments are there in your house? how big is it?

(p. 11) antarāḷakamu anta-rāḷikamu. [Skt.] n. The apartment in a pagoda, next to the shrine. గర్భగృహమునకును ముఖమంటపమునకును నడిమిచోటు.

A joint bond, a reciprocal or mutual agreement. ఎదురు వ్రాసిన ఒడంబడికలోనగునవి. ఎదురుగడగా వ్రాయు to write off (a sum as balance.) ఎదురుగాలి eduru-gāli. n. A head-wind, a contrary wind. ఎదురుచూచు eduru-ṭsūṭsu. v. n. To look forward, expect ప్రతీక్షించు. ఎదురుపడు eduru-paḍu. v. To come forward to meet. ఎదురుగావచ్చు. To be met. వాడు నాకు ఎదురుపడినాడు I met them. ఎదురుపలుకు eduru-paluku. v. n. To object, gainsay. ఎదురురొమ్ము eduru-rommu. n. The chest or breast. రొమ్ము నడిమి భాగము. ఎదురువడ్డి cross interest. ఎదురువ్యాజ్యము eduru-vyājyamu. n. A cross suit ఎదురేగు edur-ēgu. v. i. To go in the opposite direction to meet. ఎదురుగాపోవు. ఎదురొత్తు edur-ottu. n. A return push, shove for shove. మారొత్తు. ఎదురుక్షౌరము shaving against the grain, or, the wrong way.

The Indian bushel, equal to four Kunchams, నాలుగుకుంచములకొలది, i.e., about fifteen' English bushels. A measure of land (See ఇరస) being 1/16 (one anna) less than acre.' (p. 584) davva davva. [Tel.] n. A tender shoot, Pith, the soft part of wood. మ్రానినడిమి మెత్తని భాగము. చెరుకుదవ్వ the young shoot of a sugar cane. ఈ తాటిచెట్టులో అంతా దవ్యగాని చేవలేదు this tree is all pith and has no wood.

(p. 630) naḍi , నడిమి or నడు naḍi. [Tel. from నడుము.] adj. Middle, mid. నడికాలము the idle time of the year, between the ploughings. నడితడప the thick or middle part of a palm branch, తడప. నడికట్టు nadi-kattu. (నడిమి+కట్టు.) n. A girdle, waistband. నడిరేయి, నడికిరేయి, నడురేయి or నడిమికొల్లగాడు naḍi-rēyi. n. Midnight. అర్ధరాత్రము. నడికొప్పు naḍi-koppu. n. The ridge of a pent roof. నడికొల్లగాడు or నడిమికొల్లగాడు naḍi-kolla-gāḍu. n. An interloper. నడినూకలు naḍi-nūkalu. n. Grits, half broken grain, what in America is called hominy. In Madras it is called rolong. అర్ధతండులములు. నడినెత్తి or నడునెత్తి naḍi-netti. n. The middle of the head, the crown of the head. నడివ్రేలు naḍi-vrēlu. n. The middle finger. మధ్యమ. నడిమికావడి a hammock slung on a pole. నడిమికాడు a by-stander, a third person. నడుగుంట naḍu-gunṭa. n. To stand erect, to stand properly నిట్టనిలువు, నిట్టకనిలువు or నిట్టనిల్వు niṭṭa-niluvu. n. Being erect, an erect posture. నిట్టపొడుచు or నిట్టక్రమ్ము niṭṭa-poḍuṭsu. v. n. To burst out, To boil up. పైకి విజృంభించు, ఉప్పొంగు. To stand on end, as hair, రోమామచితమగు. నిట్టరాడు or నిట్రాడు ṇiṭṭarāḍu. n. The long post that supports the roof (of a house) which does not rest on a beam, a rooftree, దూలములేని యింటినడిమి పొడుగుకంబము.
