(p. 317) koṭṭu koṭṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To strike, knock. smite, beat, thrash. To attack (as rats do.) To rob, as highwaymen do. To quash, refute, defeat, dismiss, nonsuit. To strike off (the head) or behead. To strike out or rescind (a word). దారులు కొట్టు to rob (on) the high road. గోడను కాగితముకొట్టు to put (or stick) a paper on the wall. చప్పట్లుకొట్టు to clap the hands. అచ్చుకొట్టు to print. కొర్రుకొట్టు to impale. ఈతకొట్టు to swim. నన్నుముకొట్టు to whitewash. నన్ను దొంగలుకొట్టినారు thieves robbed me. చెంపకొట్టు to give a slap on the cheek. బుడ్డికొట్టు to crack a bottle, i.e, drink liquor. తలకొట్టు to behead, to ruin. పిండికొట్టు to pound flour. డేరాకొట్టు to pitch a tent. ఊడగొట్టు to loosen. చెడగొట్టు to spoil or ruin. తేలగొట్టు to set afloat. దిగగొట్టు to drive in. నలియగొట్టు to bruise. పండ్లు రాలగొట్టు to knock out a man's teeth. పగలగొట్టు a break to pieces. పడగొట్టు to throw down. పోగొట్టు to lose. విరుగగొట్టు to break; సాగగొట్టు to beat out (metal). ఊకొట్టు to hum in assent while listening. బుసకొట్టు to hiss. వాడు చేసిన దౌర్జన్యము వాణ్ని కొట్టినది his wickedness has fallen on his own head. నా నోట్లో మన్ను కొట్టినారు they have cast earth into my mouth, i.e., cheated or ruined me. కొట్టించు koṭṭinṭsu. v. t. To cause to beat.

Powdered, bruised, నలిగిన. Trivial, slight. స్వల్పము. Lean, సన్నము. నలితిండి eating trash, చిరుతిండి. adv. Duly, fitly, properly, యోగ్యముగా. నలికండ్లపాము, నలికిరి, నలికీచి or నలికీచు nali-kanḍla-pāmu. n. The polished shining greenish house lizard with a scarlet tail, that haunts houses. Fretfully. నలినలిఅగు to be peevish , to fret, నొచ్చు. నలినలిచేయు to harass, torment. నలినూకలు nali-nūkalu. n. Dust, powder. అర్థతండులములు. నలిపొడి nali-poḍi. n. Saw-dust, chips, shavings, dirt, fragments. నలిబులి nali-buli. n. Confusion, అల్లకల్లోలము. నలిరేగు nali-rēgu. v. n. To take fire, to become irritated or enraged. విజృంభించు. నలియు Same as నలుగు. (p. 637) nalugu , నలగు or నలియు nalugu. [Tel.] v. n. To break. To be broken, bruised, crushed, crumpled or reduced to powder. నలియగు. To rub with a fragrant paste నలుగుపెట్టు. To become easy, smooth, or familiar by acquaintance. To wither, be weakened or debilitated. ఆ పాఠము అతనికి నలిగినది the lesson has become familiar to him. దోవ యింకా నలగలేదు the road is not yet trodden smooth. వారు జగడమాడగా నేను నలిగిపోతిని they were the disputants but I was the sufferer, I was crushed between them. వారు నలిగిపోయినాడు they are in reduced circumstances. ఒళ్లు నలిగియున్నది the limbs are quite tired. నలుగు nalugu. n. Rubbing, scrubbing the limbs with fragrant paste made usually of పెసలు. నలుగుపెట్టు to rub the limbs with paste. నలుగు or నలుగుపిండి n. A sort of fragrant paste used as soap. నలుగుడు or నలగుడు naluguḍu. n. Difficulty, trouble, pain, suffering. పిడనము, సంకటము, తొందర, ఇబ్బంది 'అతండు నలుగుడుబడరాదో మగువ.' Suca. iii. 333. That which is thrashed or bruised. నలిగినది. నలుగుడుపెట్టు to oppress, to harass. నలగగొట్టు nalaga-goṭṭu. v. a. To pound, to bruise. వాణ్ని నలగకొట్టినారు they thrashed him severely. నలత or నల్త nalata. n. Debility: a weak state: the remains or constitutional effects of a disease. పురాణించిన రోగము. Convalescence, a bad state of health, lingering indisposition, a low fever. నలతగొట్టు nalata-goṭṭu. n. A make-bate, a thorn in one's side. నలుకువ or నలకువ nalukuva. n. Gentle, slight. Small, స్వల్పమైన, అల్పము. Thus నులికాలువ A small stream. A. ii. 72. vi. 17. నులివెచ్చగా slightly warm, lukewarm. నులినొప్పి a slight griping pain, నులివాళ్లు nuli-vāḷḷu. n. A slight withering. కొంచెము వాడిపోవుటలు. నులివాళ్లువాడు to wither slightly, కొంచెమువాడు. నులిగొను nuli-gonu. v. n. To be twisted, to be tangled. చిక్కుపడు. నులిపెట్టు nuli-peṭṭu. v. a. To twist. మెలిపెట్టు, చిక్కుపెట్టు. నులిగడ or నులితడ nuligaḍa. n. A medicinal plant, having a capsule consisting of fine fibres twisted in the form of a screw, Helicteres idora. Linn, ఆవర్తని. నులియు or నులివు nuliyu. v. n. To move about, to shake, to tremble. చలించు. ఇట్టట్టుతొలగు. To be reduced to powder, to be crushed or powdered, పొడియగు, నలియు, నలుగు.
