(p. 211) onaru onaru. [Tel.] v. i. To happen, chance, be. To become, suit, or agree. To be pretty, proper or agreeable. To appertain or belong to, to be attached to. కలుగు, పొసగు, సరిపడు, ఒప్పు. ఒనరు n. Convenience, facility, వీలు, వాటము, పొందిక. Elegance, gracefulness ఇంపు. ఆ దుర్గములో ఒనరులు చూచి లగ్గలెక్కినారు they spied out the convenient places in that fort or hill and then escaladed it. ఒనరగా onara-gā. adv. Elegantly, becomingly, fitly. ఒనరజేయు onara-jēyu. v. a. To grace or adorn. To fit or accommodate పొసగజేయు. ఒనరుపడు onaru-paḍu. v. i. To agree with పొందుపడు. ఒనరించు or ఒనరుచు or ఒనర్చు onarinṭsu. v. t. To make, form, do, effect, perform. చేయు. To celebrate (as a sacrifice.) To compose or frame, to write (a book). బాగొనరించు to do good, or benefit. ఎగ్గొనరించు to do harm, to injure. నాదమొనర్చి uttering a sound. ఊడిగము లొనరించి having served. యుక్తములగనొనర్తువు thou shalt render them acceptable. యుద్ధమొనర్చు to wage war.నగుబారొనరించును it will make them laugh.

(p. 342) kṣvēḍa, kṣvēḍitamu or క్ష్వేళితము kshvēḍa. [Skt.] n. The roaring of a lion. A war whoop, a battle cry. సింహనాదము, రణమందలి వీరుని పెడబొబ్బ. T. v. 25.

(p. 400) gharṣaṇa or ఘర్షణము gharshṇa. [Skt.] n. Friction ఒరయిక, రాయిడి. Tumult, a dispute, contention, argument, altercation కజ్జా, వినాదము. ఘర్షించు or ఘర్షణచేయు gharshinṭsu. v. n. To dispute or contend, to squabble, brawl.

(p. 402) ghē .. ఘేయనునాదము Huzza, a shout of joy. ఘేయని జయపెట్టు to utter joyful huzzas. 'ఎంతంతజనులు ఘేయనిజయపెట్ట.' BD. v. 1420.

(p. 496) ḍhakka or ఢక్కా ḍhakka. [Skt.] n. A large drum. డంకా. ఢక్కానినాదము the sound of a drum.

(p. 643) nādamu or నాడు nādamu. [Skt.] n. Sound; a note, a ringing in the ears. A slight headache. నాకు తలనాదుగానున్నది I have a slight headache. ధ్వని, మ్రోత. నాదించు nādinṭsu. v. n. To make a noise, to sound or ring, మ్రోగు. నాడారు nādāru. v. n. To cease. T. iv. 39. 'నాదారక,' i.e., ఎడతెగకుండా incesantly.

(p. 653) ninadamu or నినాదము ninadamu. [Skt.] n. A sound, note. ధ్వని. మ్రోత.

(p. 1027) mēghamu mēghamu. [Skt.] n. A cloud. మెయిలు. మేఘద్వారము mēghadvāramu. n. The gate of clouds, i.e., the sky. ఆకాశము, మొగులుదారి. మేఘనాదము mēghanādamu. n. Thunder, ఉరుము. మేఘనాదుడు mēgha-nāduḍu. n. The son of Rāvaṇa ఇంద్రజిత్తు. Also, Varuṇa, వరుణుడు. మేఘపుష్పము mēgha-pushpamu. n. The flower of clouds, i.e., water, or drizzle, ఉదకము, తూర. మేఘవన్నె mēgha-vanne. n. A sort of silk. 'మేఘవన్నెయు, రుద్రాక్ష వన్నెయు, కాంభోజి పులిగోరుపట్టును.' BD. iii. 114. మేఘాడంబరము mēgh-āḍambaramu. n. The lowering or threatening of clouds. మేఘుడు mēghuḍu. n. A cloud, personified as living.Bhāse. §. 1.

(p. 1040) mora mora. [Tel.] n. A cry, scream lamentation, complaint, plaint. A declaration, statement. అత్తనాదము. Also, another form of మోర. (q. v.) మొరపెట్టు mora-peṭṭu. v. n. To scream, cry, yell, lament, wail, cry aloud, complain. అర్తధ్వనిచేయు, అరుచు, పడిన అన్యాయమునుగూర్చి చెప్పు. మొరపెట్టుకొను to howl, make a complaint, complain, తనకు గలిగిన అన్యాయమును గూర్చి చెప్పుకొను. స్త్రీలకు స్వాతంత్య్రములేదని శాస్త్రములు మొరపెట్టుచుండగా while the Sastras declare that women have no independence.

(p. 1041) morayu or మ్రోయు morayu. [Tel. another form of మ్రోగు.] v. n. To sound. resound. ధ్వనించు. మొరయించు morayinṭsu. v. a. To sound, cause to resound, roar. ధ్వనిచేయు, వాయించు. 'మొరయించె పటుజ్యానాదము.' R. iv. 82.

(p. 1042) morra or మొర morra. [Tel.] n. A cry, scream, outcry, wailing, lamentation, complaint. ఆర్తనాదము. 'ధరణీశతగదనుచు తామొర్రలిడగ.' BD. iv. 1961. దొంగలువచ్చిపడగానే కుయ్యోమొర్రో అని అరిచినారు on being attacked by the thieves they screamed out. మొర్రోయనియేడ్చు to howl, cry, vociferate. నేను మొర్రోవద్దని చెప్పితిని I cried 'Alas! do not do this.

(p. 1330) siṅgamu singamu. [from Skt. సింహము.] n. A lion. సింహము. సింగపుపీట singapu-pīṭa. n. A throne, సింహాసనము. 'తమ్మిపూసింగపుపీట' పాంచా. i. సింగడు singaḍu. n. Narsimha. నృసింహుడు. A gypsy, ఎరుకలవాడు. మాసింగడల్లతరికొండ దరిన్ తల మోచి తెచ్చినదియిది.' S. i. 19. One who is angry. కోపించినవాడు. సింగళము singaḷamu. [from Skt. సింహళము.] n. Ceylon. సింహళదేశము. సింగి singi. n. (fem.) A gypsy woman, ఎరుకలది. సింగినాదము singi-nādamu. [from సింహనాదము.] n. A horn, a trumpet, కొమ్ము. Nonsense, stupidity, folly, వెర్రితనము. 'పెరచేతిబెత్తపు మురువుతో గళమున దాల్చిన సింగినాదంబుతోడ.' (p. 1331) siṃhamu simhamu. [Skt.] n. A lion. The sign Leo. (In composition,) Eminent, chief, మృగేంద్రము, అయిదవరాసి. శ్రేష్ఠము. సింహము or సింహపుపలక a large piece of timber, లావాటిమాను. కవిసింహము a noble poet. సింహస్వప్నము. (lit. the elephant's dream of his mortal foe the lion.) a killing thought, a dreadful apprehension. సింహలలాటము (corrupted into సింహతలాటము) an ornament in the form of a lion's head, the figure carved on the front of the pole of a Hindu litter. సింహద్వారము simha-dvāramu. n. The portal or front gate of a house, తలవాకిలి. సింహనాదము simha-nādamu. n. A loud cry, a war cry or war whoop. Huzzas. క్ష్వేళ, యుద్ధకాలములో భటులు అరిచే అరుపు, బొబబ్బ. సింహసంహననుడు simha-samhananuḍu. n. Lit. one who kills a lion, i.e., a very handsome person, a man of noble presence or figure. సర్వాంగసుమదరుడు. సింహావలోకనము simh-āva-lōkanamu. n. Lit, a lion's look Retrospection. A trick in versification consisting of making each line begin with the last word of the preceeding one. వెనుకకు మళ్లిమళ్లి చూచుచుపోవడము, పద్యములో ముందుచెప్పిన పదమును మళ్లీయెత్తుచు రావడము. 'ఇదిమనోహర కాంతికింపైన బింబంబు, బింబంబు గాదిది బెగడుకెంపు, కెంపుగాదిది తేటియొంపనిన మంకెన, మంకెనగాదిదిమంచిచిగురు.' T. iii. 63. సింహాసనము simk-āsanamu. n. A lion seat, a seat or throne supported by sculptured lions, a throne, నృపాసనము, భద్రాసనము, రాజపీఠము. సింహాసవస్థుడు simh-āsana-sthuḍu. n. One who is enthroned. పట్టాభిషిక్తుడు. సింహి simhi. n. A lioness. ఆడుసింహము. సింహి or సింహిక. n. The mother of Rāhu. రాహువుయొక్క తల్లి.
