(p. 642) nāḍu nāḍu. [Tel.] n. A day. Time. That day, ఆనాడు. That time, ఆకాలము చిన్ననాడు when he was young, in infancy. ఒకనాటికీ వినడు he will never consent. ఆనాడు at that time. తాతనాడు in my grand-father's time. నాటినుండి since that time. తండ్రినాటనుంచి from the time of his father. సంవత్సరమునాటికి చెల్లించే రూకలు the money payable at the end of the year. నాటివారు the people of that time. నాటిపుస్తకము the book of those times. అది యెన్నాళ్లనాడు how long ago was it? నాలుగేండ్లనాడు four years back. నాటికి on that day, by that time, to that day. నాడే oh I dare say! to be sure! నాటిపని the matter you wot of, you know what I mean. ఇది శానా దినములనాటిది this is very ancient. నానాడు nā-nāḍu. adv. Day by day, now and then. నానాటికి nā-nāṭiki. adv. Day by day, by degrees.

(p. 871) balupu or బళువు baluvu. [from Skt. బలము.] n. Weight, a load or burden; బరువు. Strength, బలము. A charge, or obligatory duty; onus; oppression; anguish; acuteness (as of a boil), heaviness, severity of sickness. Importance, consequence. భారము. మీ చిత్తమునకు బలువు తోచును you would be displeased. బళువుసుళువు ఎరుగనివాడు one who knows no care. దానిని నెరవేర్చే బళువు తమది it is your business to settle this. బలబళవు ఇంకా తీయలేదు the heaviness or stupor is not yet gone off. నెత్తి బళువు తీరినది there is a weight off my mind. ఆ కురుపు నానాటికి బళువుచేస్తున్నది the boil becomes more painful day by day. adj. Heavy, onerous; obligatory; difficult, acute, severe (as illness), irksome, indisposed. అధికము, మిక్కుటము. Large, పెద్ద. See బలు. వాడు బలువైన పనిచేయలేడు he cannot do any heavy work. బలువుగా or బళువుగా baluvu-gā. adv. Heavily. అతనికి ఒళ్లు బలువుగానున్ణది he is very ill. ఆ ఊరు బలువుగా కోసెడు ఉన్నది the village is fully two milles off. బలువుడు baluvuḍu. adj. Strong. బలముగల. n. A strong man, బలవంతుడు, బలియుడు.

(p. 1071) rāga rāga. [Tel.] n. A bad creature, దుష్టుడు. లాగదాగుడురాగ a serpent, సర్పము. 'లాగదాగుడురాగ ప్రోగులిడెడుప్రోడ.' (Aṭasṭsa Telugu Rāmayan,) i.e., Siva, the hero who wears as an earrring a serpent that hides in a hole. An adulteress, జారిణి. A proud or wicked man, ఉద్ధతుడు, ధూర్తుడు. adj. Shrewish wicked. గయ్యాళి, దుష్ట, చెడుగరమైన. 'కూతురురరాగైన మాతతప్పు అశ్వంబుచెడుగైన నారోహకుని తప్పు.' Nrisim. §. 12. రాగతుంగ a kind of grass called భద్రముస్తకము. రాగతనము rāgatanamu. n. Envy, malice. మాత్సర్యము. 'లోగనించు కైనరాగతనంబునదో చివలువలెల్ల దాచినావు గీజుపోరకిమ్ము నేజవవలెనన్న.' Appa kavi. ii. 36. రాగంట్లమారి rāganṭla-māri. n. A blackguard, a villain. పోకిరి, గండాగుండి. 'వాడు నానాటికభివృద్ధివరలబెరిగి, కాకలనుదీరిగడిమీరిగట్టిసారి, రాలుగాయతనాన బేరజపుదారినారితేరినే రాగంట్లమారియయ్యె.' H. v. 126.

(p. 1076) rālu rālu. [Tel.] v. n. To fall off or down, to drop, to run or flow off, as tears, &c. పతనమగు, పడు. ఆకులు రాలును leaves fall. వానికండ్లలో నిప్పులు రాలినవి fire flashed from his eyes. ఈ కరువులో జనము ఎండాకులు రాలినట్టు రాలిపోయినది in this famine the people dropped down like withered leaves. 'చాలదోయిటనెత్తి చల్లిననిసుక రాలనియట్టి యరణ్యాంతరమున.' BD. v. 854. రాలుగాయ rālu-gāya. n. A wicked or mischievous boy. తుంటపిల్లకాయ. రాలు గాయతనము rālu-gāya-tanamu. n. Wickedness, mischief. తుంటతనము. 'తే వాడు నానాటికభివృద్ధి వరలబెరిగి, కాకలను దీరిగడిమీరి గట్టిపారి, రాలుగాయతనానబేరజపుదారి, నారితే రెనెరాగంట్ల మారిమయ్యె.' H. v. 126. రాలుచు, రాల్చు, రాలగొట్టు, రాలిపివేయు or రాల్పివేయు rāluṭsu. v. a. To knock off, beat down, shed, రాలజేయు. అది కండ్ల నీళ్లు రాల్చినది she shed tears. రాలుపు rālupu. n. Falling off, dropping, as leaves, రాలుట.
