(p. 878) bāra bāra. [Tel.] n. A fathom, the length of the two arms extended. చాచిన రెమడు చేతులనడిమికొలత, నాలుగుమూరలు. పదిబారలు twenty yards. బార or బారా bāra. [H.] Twelve పండ్రెండు. బారచాచు bāra-tsātsu. v. a. To extend. (the arms, so as to embrace.) 'గౌరవమున బారచాచి కౌగిటచేర్చెన్.' T. iv. 146. బారచాపు bāra-ṭsāpu. n. The cloth called Long cloth. చాలా నిడివిగలబట్ట. బారదూలము, బారుపట్టె or బారుదూలము a very long piece of timber, నిడుపాటిదూలము. బారపోయు bāra-pōyu. v. a. To spin, with the arm fully stretched. చెయ్యిసాగునంతవరకు నూలువడుకు. ఏకులబారపోయు to spin thread. బారాది bār-ādi. (బార+అది) adj. A great deal. అధికము. A great many. అనేకము, బహుళము, చాలా. 'ఓరోరిరాచవాడా, రారా నావెంట దిరుగరాదాసుడనై, బారాదిమాడలిచ్చెద కోరానీయప్పుదీర్చుకోరాయనుచున్.' HN. iv. 233. 'వారిరువురుతమలోపల వైరముగొనిరాజ్యకాంక్షవిజిగీషువులై, హోరాహోరింబోరిరి, బారాదిదినంబులననిప్రజలుతలంకన్.' A. iii. 21.

(p. 1204) veṇṭa venṭa. [Tel. from వెను.] n. Business, కార్యము. An affair, విషయము. A way, మార్గము. Manner, విధము. Hunting , the chase, వేట. adv. and postposition. With, along with, in company with, behind, following after, వెంబడి. ఏవెంట in what manner or way? ఏరీతిగా. నావెంటవచ్చినాడు he came along with me. వీధ్వెంటసరుగెత్తినా he ran along the street. ప్రవాహమువెంట కొట్టుకొనివచ్చిన మానులు the trees that came down the river. వానినోటి వెంట వచ్చినమాటలు the words that slipped out of his mouth. వానిముక్కువెంట నెత్తురుకారుచున్నది he is bleeding at the nose. 'కాలువ వెంటబూచు మల్లికలవనంబనంగ.' Swa. ii. 24. వెంటనంటు or వెంటబడు venṭa-n-anṭu. v. a. To follow, pursue. వెంబడించు. వెంటనే venṭan-ē. adv. and postposition. Immediately, at once, వెంబడిగానే. వారు వచ్చినవెంటనే as soon as they arrived. వెంటబెట్టుకొను venṭa-beṭṭu-konu. v. n. To take along with.

(p. 1205) vembaḍi vem-baḍi. [Tel. వెను+బడి.] n. The back part or side. వెంట. వెంబడి, వెంబడిని or వెంబడిగా adv. and postposition. Behind, after, following, with, along with, through. వెంట, కూడ, గుండా. నావెంబడి వచ్చినాడు he came with me. ఊళ్లవెంబడి తిరుగుచున్నారు they roam from village to village. వాని నోటివెంబడి వచ్చినమాటలు the words that dropped from his lips. నాచేను వెంబడిచేను the land bordering on my field. దాని వెంబడి పద్యము the next verse, the following verse. ఆయన పోయిన వెంబడినే immediately after he went. 'వివరమేర్పరచి యా వెంబడి పదములనడపి, నల్వంకలుతడవి చూచి.' R. iii. 212. 'తీర్థాలవెంబడి తిరుగుట కొన్నాళ్లు.' T. ii. 168. వారి కోరిక వెంబడిని in conformity with their wish.
