Also a plant (Gloriosa superba) తరిగొర్రెచెట్టు, కుంకుమపువ్వు చెట్టు the Saf-flower plant. అగ్నిహోత్రము fire. అగ్నిహోత్రుడు the god of fire. అగ్నిహోత్రాలు కాల్చుచున్నాడు or చేయుచున్నాడు colloquial for 'he is smoking.'

(p. 35) aḍaru aḍaru. [Tel.] v. n. To arise, to issue, to come. To arise, as fear. To be fit or proper: to shine. పుట్టు, కలుగు, జనించు, వచ్చు; భయపడు, ఒప్పు, అతిశయించు, వర్థిల్లు, ప్రకాశించు, వ్యాపించు. 'అడరునవీన భానుకిరణానలమంటి.' Swa. iii. 83. 'ఇంపడర బ్రోచుగదమ్మ.' H. i. 89.

(p. 40) atimadhuramu ati-madhuramu. [Skt.] adj. Very delicious; delightful. నిండా రుచిగల, రమ్యమైన. అతిమధురము n. Liquorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra or the root of the Abrus precatorius which is used instead.

(p. 40) atimātra ati-mātra. [Skt.] n. A 'pill too much,' i.e., excess in medicine. అధికమైన మందు. వాడు యిప్పుడు నిండా అతిమాత్రగానున్నాడు he has now gone wild. అతిమాత్రము atimātramu. [Skt.] adj. Exceeding; immoderate; excessive. మిక్కిలి మిక్కుటమైన.

(p. 50) anavadyamu an-avadyamu. [Skt.] adj. Blameless, faultless, spotless, irreproachable. నింద్యముకాని, దోషరహితమైన.

(p. 52) aninditamu a-ninditamu. [Skt.] adj. Unblamed. అనింద్యము a-nindyamu. [Skt.] adj. Unblameable, faultless.

(p. 54) anucu anuṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To send, dismiss. పంపు. 'నిజపురంబునకనిచెనిందీనరాక్షు.' Swa. v. 132. Also, to command to order.

(p. 57) anumānamu anu-mānamu. [Skt.] n, Surmise, conjecture, suspicion, doubt. In logic, inference. సందేహము, యుక్తి చేత నిర్ణయించడము. వాని మీద అనుమానము తోచినది, వాని మీద అనుమానమున్నది I suspect him. అనుమానఖండము Induction (logic.) అనుమానించు or అనుమానపడు anu-māninṭsu. A fault, sin, guilt, (commonly) a fine, punishment, penalty. శిక్షార్హమైన కర్మము, పాపము, నేరము, (వాడుకగా) నేరమునకై పుచ్చుకొనే రూకలు. అపరాధమును మన్నించు or కాచు to pardon, overlook. అపరాధక్షమయు to beg pardon. అపరాధము వేయు to inflict a fine. అపరాధముతీయు to take a fine. అపరాధి n. An offender, delinquent. నేరము చేసినవాడు. అపరాద్ధము adj Criminal, guilty, erring, faulty. అపరాధియైన, పాపియైన.
