(p. 329) kōlamu kōlamu. [Tel.] n. A dance, dancing. నర్తనము. A pan, an earthen basin. (H. ii. 12.) [Skt.] A float or raft తెప్ప. An apple రేగుపండు. A hog పంది. కోలమాంసము Pork. Kalah. iii. 127. 'గగనరంగస్థలంబున మిగలుబ్రౌఢి మమునగాళీకనీలి కోలమునటింప బొరిమొగంబునరాలు నిప్పుకలనంగ గుంపులైరాలె మహినింద్రగోపతతులు.' A. iv. 135.

(p. 653) nippu or నిప్పుక nippu. [Tel. cf. Tam. నిరుపు.] n. Fire. A spark of fire, a live coal. అంగారము, అగ్ని. అగ్నికణము. 'పొరిమొగంబు నరాలు నిప్పుకలనంగ గుంపులైరాలె మహినింద్రగోపతతులు.' A. iv. 135. నిప్పు వన్నెగుత్తులకానుగు or అంగారవల్లరి a species of కానుగుచెట్టు, commonly called the Flame of the Forest.

(p. 803) pogulu or పొవులు pogulu. [Tel.] v. n. To grieve, to pine with grief, to languish. దుఃఖముచేత తపించు. To burn. రగులు, కుములు.' పువ్వులవాన, గురిసె నప్పుడు వహ్ని గొబ్బుననడగి, నిగుడుకీలల మాని నివురుపైగప్పి, పొగులుట లుడిగి నిప్పుకలు చల్లారె.' HD. f. 2285. పొగిలించు pogilinṭsu. v.a. To afflict, to grieve. 'మయూరంబులన్ పొగలించె.' R. v. 234.

(p. 1349) sūryuḍu sūryuḍu. [Skt.] n. The sum. భాస్కరుడు. సూర్యకాంతము sūrya-kāntamu. n. The sun-gem tourmaline, అదిత్యశిల, సూర్యరశ్మితగులుటచేట నిప్పుకలిగెడు ఒక విధమైన రాయి. A well known medicinal herb. సూర్యకాంతిపుష్పము or సూర్యావర్తము sūrya-kānti-pushpamu. n. The sun-flower. Helianthus annuuṣ. పొద్దుతిరుగుడుపువ్వు. సూర్యపటము Same as సూరపటము. (q. v.) సూర్యపాను sūrya-pānu. n. A triangular perpendicular paraso or fan, resembling a fire screen. See సురేపాను. సూర్యపుటము sūrya-puṭamu. n. Exposure to the sun. ఎండబెట్టడము. సూర్యపుటముపెట్టు to inspissate fluid medicines or extracts by exposure to the sun. సూర్యపుత్రుడు sūrya-putruḍu. n. The son of Hellus: an epithet of Ṣani, of Yama and the Varuna. శనిగ్రహము, యముడు, వరుణుడు. సుర్యప్రభ sūrya-prabha. n. The disc or orb of the sun; also a vehicle or seat with a gift aureole, సూర్యబింబము, ఒక దేవత వేంచేయు సూర్యాకారమైన వాహనము. సూర్యవాద్యము sūrya-vādyamu. n. A tambourine or small double tabor. పాగామీద కట్టుకొనివాయించే సూర్యాకారమైన చర్మవాద్యము.
