(p. 151) ucchvāsitamu uchchhvasitamu. [Skt.] n. Breathing, Dasav. VII. 91. ఉచ్ఛ్వాసము uchchḥvāsamu. n. Breath, a breathing sigh. ఎగఊపిరి. ఉచ్ఛ్వాసనిరోధము uchchhvāsa-nirōdamu. n. A stoppage of the breath from stitch or other bodily pain. ఊపిరికుట్టు.

(p. 207) oṭṭu oṭṭu. [Tel.] n. An oath శపథము. A penalty, curse, ban, interdiction నిరోధము. నిద్రపట్టితే ఒట్టు a curse on me if I slept! ఆ దారి చూపు, నేను పోకపోతే ఒట్టు shew me the way and it shall be my fault if I do not go. See ఆన. ఒట్టుపెట్టుకొను oṭṭu-peṭṭu-konu. v. i. To take an oath. ఒట్టుపెట్టు oṭṭu-peṭṭu. v. i. to adjure, to impose a vow or solemn promise. T. ii. 98. To ban or forbid by a curse. ఒట్టువిడుచు to remove an oath or interdiction ఆనవిడుచు.

One who puts in prison. చెరలోవేయువాడు. బందెకత్తె bande-katte. n. A woman who puts in prison, చెరలో వేయునది. బందెగొను bande-gonu. v. a. To imprison, చెరబెట్టు. బందెలపోతు bandela-pōtu. n. One who is given to imprison people. చెరవేయు స్వభావముగలవాడు. బందెవేయు bande-vēyu. v. a. To impound cattle. To exact a fine for cattle that have trespassed.

(p. 1155) vāyuvu vāyu. [Skt.] n. Air, wind, గాలి. A rheumatic distemper, rheumatism, వాతరోగము. అజీర్ణవాయువు a species of dyspepsia. ఉదరవాయువు flatulency in the stomach. డమరకవాయువు difficult and short respiration, asthma. తిమురువాయువు paralysis, palsy, deprivation of motion and sensation together, i.e., numbness. పక్షవాయువు or పార్శ్వవాయువు hemiplegia. ముద్దవాయువు dead palsy. మేహవాయువు flatulency in the body said to be caused by veneral heat. వాయువును పట్టే మందు or వాతహరమైనమందు a medicine that dissipates flatulency. వాతనాడి a flatulent pulse. వాతాతిసారము a flatulent disease of this kind, diarrhœa. వాయనిరోధము the art of stopping the breath. practised with a view to attain length of days. వాయస్తంభనము. వాయుపథము vāyu-pathamu. n. The atmosphere. ఆకాశము. వాయువిళంగము vāyu-viḷangamu. n. A medicinal seed, like a pepper corn, put in the mouth of children in order to assist their speech. చిత్రతండులము. వాయువేగి vāyu-vēgi. adj. Swift as the wind. వాయుసఖుడు vāyu-sakhuḍu. n. Lit: the friend of the wind, i.e., fire, అగ్ని.
