(p. 143) īgu īgu. [Tel. another form of నీగు] v. a. To enter, penetrate. 'నాభిసొరంగమీగి' Vasu ii. 91. To give, bestow. సీ 'పానీయముననర్ఘ్యపాద్యమీగి' Naish iv. 11. To get rid of. To do away with. పోగొట్టు, తొలగించు, నివర్తించు. 'ఋణత్రయంబునీగి.' A. iv. 341. ఈగు v. n. To fail, lose: submit, (compare. వీగు.) To perish. ఓడు, డస్సిపోవు, చచ్చు. To be crushed. ఒత్తుడుపడిపోవు. 'ఈగెదరాకటిచే.' Hari Vams. i. 23. They perish with hunger.

(p. 661) nivartakamu nivartakamu. [Skt.] n. Accomplishing, finishing, ending. Deliverance, ముక్తి. In the Yoga Sāstram, the భువిప్రవర్తకుడు is he who still dies and is born over and over again in various bodies: and the భువిని వర్తకుడు is he who is delivered from transmigration, and has obtained union with the Deity. BD. vii. 80 - 90.

(p. 661) nivartilu or నిర్తిల్లు ni-vartilu. v. n. To turn back. మరలబడు. నివర్థించు or నివృత్తించు ṇivartinṭsu. v. a. To quit, abandon; to renounce, resign, cease from; to do away with, to quash, నివర్తిల్లజేయు. నివర్తి or నివృత్తి nivarti. n. Doing away, removing, abolition. దారిద్య్ర నివృత్తి అగుటకై so that the poverty might be removed.

(p. 666) nīgu nīgu. [Tel.] v. a. To get rid of. నివర్తించు. 'ఒక్కతపస్వియొక్క ప్రతిరాడేచూడడే తత్కృపన్ పుట్టువున్నీగెద.' టీ పుట్టువున్, నీగెదన్, అనగా యీ రాక్షసజన్నమును పోగొట్టుకొనెదను. A. vi. 65. 'వంతమనంబులో జనదు నావగనీగెదనేడునీకృపన్.' Parij. ii. 94.

(p. 1284) saṃśaptakuḍu sam-ṣaptakuḍu. [Skt.] n. A picked man or soldier, one of a select band sworn never to recede and stationed to prevent the flight of the rest, శపథంకృత్వాయుద్ధాదనివర్తిని, తిరిగిపోవనని ఒట్టుపెట్టుకొని యుద్ధము చేయువాడు. A hero, శూరుడు. M. IX. i. 14. ib. VIII. ii. 321.

(p. 1337) suṅkamu sunkamu. [from Skt. శుల్కం.] n. A toll, custom, dnes, tax. శుల్కము, పన్ను An obstacle, ప్రతిబంధము. 'పంకజాక్షుని చెల్వుసుంకమడిగి.' Swa. iii. 25. కప్పమిమ్మని అనగా, అతిశయించి అని భావము. 'చ అతడు తదల్ప పాపఫలమందుటసుంకముదీరిపోయి.' A. vi. 55. అనగా, ప్రతిబంధకము నివర్తించిపోయి. 'సుంకపు కాసులు.' S. iii. 207. సుంకమ్మ or సుంకాళలమ్మ sunkamma. n. The name of a village goddess. సుంకరి, సుంకరీడు or సుంకీడు sunk-ari. n. A custom house officer; an exciseman. సుల్కహారి, సాయీరుదారుడు, సుంకము వసూలు చేయువాడు. సుంకరిమెట్టు sunk-ari-meṭṭu. n. A toll or custom-house. సుంకము పుచ్చుకొనే స్థలము.
