(p. 21) akṣatalu akshatalu. [Skt.] vulgarly అక్షింతలు n.plu. (lit. unbroken grains.) Grains of raw rice, made yellow with saffron. The red mark worn by some Hindus on the forehead formed of saffron and slaked lime. పసుపురాచిన బియ్యము, పేలాలు. నొసటను పెట్టుకోవడమునకై పసుపు సున్నము కలిపిన బొట్టు.

(p. 696) paṭṭamu paṭṭamu. [Skt.] n. A gold band or fillet tied on the forehead of one at the time of his coronation as king, పట్టాభిషేక కాలమున నొసటకట్టెడుపట్టె. A diadem. Silk thread, పట్టుమాలు. The bark of a tree, చెట్టుమీదిపట్ట. A grant or lease granted by asking to the ryots, రాజు రైతులకిచ్చు పట్టా. A title, బిరుదు. A grade or step in genealogy. A kingdom, రాజ్యము. అతనికి ప్రతాప సింహుడనే పట్టము నిచ్చినారు they gave him the title of Pratāpa Simha. ఆ పట్టాధికారి చనిపోయినాడు the head of the state died. అతనికి పట్టముకట్టిరి they crowned him. పట్టపుదేవి a queen. పట్టపు ఏనుగు or పట్టపుటేనుగు a royal elephant, a state elephant. రాజెక్కు ఏనుగు, భద్రగజము. పట్టపుకత్తి a state sword. పట్టమేలుట to reign. పట్టాభిషేకము paṭṭ-ābhishēkamu. n. Coronation, installation. పట్టాభిషిక్తుడు he who is crowned. పట్టాభిషేకము చేయు to crown one king. పట్టభద్రుడు paṭṭa-bhadruḍu. n. A chief, leader.

(p. 1102) lālāṭa lālāṭa. [Skt. from లలాటము.] adj. Relating to the forehead. నొసటి. 'లాట శుద్ధాంతలాలాటఘర్మంబు లీలాటన క్రియలబాయంగదోచి.' T. ii. 32. టీ లాలాట, లలాటప్రదేశమందుపుట్టిన.

(p. 1346) sūṭi sūṭi. [Tel.] n. An aim an expedient. గురి, ఉపాయము. Manner, విధము. ఈ పని సూటిపడునా will this business succeed? నీ మనసుకు సూటిగా ఉన్నట్టయితే if it seems right to you. adj. Straight, not crooked, right, చక్కని, తిన్నని, తిరుగుళ్లులేని, సరియైన. 'సూటిమార్గముజూపే శూలధరుడు.' Chenna v. 415. సూటిగా sūṭi-gā. adv. Duly, straight, in a light line. సరిగా, నొసటికి సూటిగా రాయివేసినాడు he threw the stone straight at his forehead. సూటికాడు sūti-bāḍu. n. A marksman, గురికాడు. A handsome person, అందగాడు. సూటిగొను sūṭi-gonu. v. n. To fit, suit, agree. ౛తపడు, పొసగు, సరిపడు. 'సూటిగొనసాటివచ్చు ౛క్కవనుక్కడించి.' Bilh. ii. 194. సూటిపడు sūṭi-paḍu. v. n. To hit correctly, సరితాకు.
