A canopy, a thatched roof, a shed, a covered seat in which a god is carried about: the tilt of a cot, canopy of a bed, the roof of a bower. పందిరి, గుడారము. ద్రాక్షచప్పరము a trellice of vines. చలువచప్పరకోళ్లమంచము a bed of state. (T. iii. 131.) i.e., a bed, with tester and pillars.

(p. 690) pandiri or పందిలి pandiri. [Tel.] n. A shed made of leaves or wicker work, a porch. 'అక్షయనిధియు ముత్యాలపందిరియు.' BD. vii. 290. A trellis for vines or creepers to run over: a frame. మాటలతో పందిలిపెట్టినాడు all his words ended in smoke. పందిరి మంచము pandiri-manṭsamu. n. A tilted, bed with a top, tester or canopy.
