(p. 174) ūḍanipāḍu ūḍani-pāḍu. [Tel. ఊడు+అని+పాడు] v. t. To cry ఊడు while running away. To run away. To be put to flight, to be routed. సిగ్గూడనిపాడెన్ her modesty left her. P. iv. 433. వ్యామోహమూడనిపాడెన్ that fascination is now over. 'ఒకనాడు రాత్తి పడుపడు కకుజెప్పక యిల్లు వెడలి గాఢతరతమో నికరమతనతగుతోడుగ నొకరుడు పేరడవిత్రోవ మాడనిపాడెన్.' పాండు. iii.

(p. 702) paḍucu paḍuṭsu. [Tel.] adj. Young, youthful. పడుచుబుద్ధి a childish whim. (Vish. ii. 28.) పడుచుమాటలు childish language. n. A girl, damsel, maiden, కన్యక. A boy, a youth, పడుచువాడు. ఆడపడుచు a girl. పడుచు తనము paḍuṭsu-tanamu. n. Youth, girlhood, girlishness, boyishness, silliness; puberty. పడుచుది paḍuṭsu-di. n. A young girl. పడుచులతిండి a devourer of innocents, శిశుఘాతిని. పడుపు or పడుచు ౛త paḍupu. n. Prostitution. పడుచుకొను to prostitute oneself. పడుపుకూడు food gained by prostitution. పడుపుపడతి a prostitute. పడుపుకొమ్మ paḍupu-komma. n. A prostitute.

(p. 708) panupaḍu or పన్నుపడు panu-paḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be accustomed, incured, qualified, to fit, to suit. వాడుకపడు, అలవాటుపడు, సరిపడు, ఇముడు, తగియుండు. To happen, కలుగు. వాడు వ్రాయడమునకు బాగా పడుపడ్డవాడు he is dexterous or skilled in writing. 'సద్భుద్ధిదృఢమగుసాధనంబుగగొని మరలిచియాత్మను మనసునిలిపి యుపగతసంకల్పుడై యుపల స్థాణుభంగికస్థితిబనుపడిదివంబు రాత్రి యును.' M. XII. vi. 37. ఉపలస్థాణు భంగికస్థితిబనుపడి, అనగా రాతిస్తంభము రీతిగా చలించకుండా ఉండడమునకు అలవాటుపడి. పనుపరచు panu-paraṭsu. v. a. To inure, to accustom, drill, train. To trim, rectify, mend, adjust.

(p. 736) pātara pātara. [Tel. పాతు+అర.] n. A grain pit or cellar built with a small mouth above, to preserve salt or grain ధాన్యాదుల నిక్షేపము. A treasury. నిధి. ధాన్యము పాతర పెట్టినాడు he stored up the grain in a pit. ఇసుకపాతర a pack of confusion, a puzzle. పాతరతీయు to dig a pit, or to open a grain cellar. ఇసుకపాతరపారినట్లు in a full stream. పడుపాతర a pit-fall. పాతరలు grain pits.
