(p. 703) paṭhitamu patitamu. [Skt.] adj. Fallen, alighted, defeated, overthrown. Wicked, abandoned. పఠితత్వము patitatvamu. n. The state of having fallen from one's office or righteousness. పఠితుడు pati-luḍu. n. A fallen creature, a sinner. పడినవాడు, పదవిచెడినవాడు. ఏమియెరుగని పఠితుగా (for పతితుడుగా) ఉన్నాడు he is as innocent as the babe unborn. పతితపావనుడు a restorer of the fallen, a saviour of sinners.

(p. 713) paramamu paramamu. [Skt.] adj. Best, supreme, most excellent, principal, chief. ఉత్కృష్టము, ప్రధానము పరమగురువు the supreme teacher. పరమపతివ్రత the most virtuous woman. పరమపతివ్రత the most virtuous woman. పరమపదము or పరంపదము parama-padamu. n. Heaven. మోక్షము. పరమపదించు or పరంపదించు parama-padinṭsu. v. n. (p. 748) pāvanamu pāvanamu. [Skt.] adj. Pure, clean, purifying, holy. పవిత్రము. నేడు సుదినము నా జన్మము పావనమాయెను this happy day blots out all my sins: (a common phrase of joy.) పరముకన్ననేమి పావనమాసోమ్ము is wealth any object in comparison with heaven? పరమపావనీ O most holy One! పావనముచేయు to purify. ఆయన ఈ రాజ్యమును పావనముచేసెను he reformed this realm. n. Penance, purification. ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము. Water. జలము. A vow, వ్రతము. 'పావనశయవారిజాతముల భవ్యగణార్చలొనర్చు నిత్యమున్.' Chenn. v. 264. పావనశయమనగా, జలాశయము. పావని pāvani. [from పవనము, wind.] n.
