(p. 360) garbhamu garbhamu. [Skt.] n. The belly, the stomach, the womb. కడుపు. The inside of any thing, the interior; the middle. A fœtus కడుపులోని పిండము. నదీగర్భము the middle of a river. గర్భగృహము the nave, sanctuary, or shrine of a temple. గర్భముతోనున్న pregnant. గర్భముధరించు to conceive or become pregnant. ఆమె గర్భము కరిగిపోయింది she miscarried. ఆమెకు గర్భము నిలిచినది she has not miscarried. గర్భకలమము a swelling ear of corn. వరి పొట్టకరుకు. Vasu. ii. 101. గర్భాగారము a closet or recess. An inner chamber. లోపలిగది. ఏకగర్భజనితులయిన of full blood children of the same womb. గర్భవాసిగా నుండే yet in the womb, unborn. గర్భశత్రువు a secret enemy. గర్భాధానము the nuptial ceremony. గర్భాశయము the womb, the uterus. గర్భాష్టకము the eighth month of uterine gestation. (p. 452) cūlu ṭsūlu. [Tel.] n. Pregnancy, గర్భము. చూలుకొను or చూలుపడు to be pregnant, the womb, embryo, child, foetus గర్భస్థపిండము, శిశువు. చూలాలితనము ṭsūl-āli-tanamu. n. Pregnancy. చూలాలు ṭsūl-ālu. n. A pregnant woman. చూలి ṭsūli. n. A child, offspring, fruit. తుమ్మిచూలి he who was born from the lotus. రాచూలి the prince's child. చూలి adj. Pregnant. చూలిగొర్రె a ewe in lamb. ఆ గుర్రము చూలితో నున్నది the mare is in foal.

(p. 744) pārvaṇamu pārvaṇamu. [Skt. from పర్వము.] n. A certain funeral rite. పితృ దేవతలకొరకు నిచ్చేపిండము, పిండప్రదానము. పార్వణపుముద్దలు the funeral cakes.

(p. 751) piṇḍamu pinḍamu. [Skt.] n. A lump of rice, అన్నపుముద్ద, A ball. చెండు. A body, form, living frame. ఆకారము, శరీరము. The fœtus or embryo, గర్భస్థశిశువు. The oblations that are made to deceased ancestors. పితృదేవతలకిచ్చు అన్నపుముద్ద. ఈ గండము గడిచి పిండము బయటపడితే చూతము when the fray is over we shall see what happens. నాడు ఉత్పాతపిండము he is a perfect hero. నాకు పిండానికి లేక చస్తున్నాను I am dying for a bit of bread. పిండముపెట్టు to offer balls of rice to the manes of ancestors. Vēma. iii. 192. పిండలి or పిండలివండ pinḍali. (from పిండము.) n. A lump or mass. ముద్ద, గడ్డ. పిండలి పండు or పిండిలిపండు mud and slush. గడ్డలను నీళ్లును, గడ్డలుకట్టినబురద. 'తురగభురోగ్ధూత ధూళితో బెరసిన, వననిధిపిండలి పండుగాగ.' M. IV. iii. 150. పిండాకూడు or పిండాకుడు pinḍā-kūḍu. n. A contemptuous word for food.

(p. 980) māvi māvi. [Tel.] n. A mango tree. మామిడి చెట్టు. మామిడి or మామిడిపండు a mango. The after birth, the placenta, గర్భస్థపిండమును చుట్టుకొనియుండు పొర. మావిచేప māvi-chēpa. n. A kind of fish. ఒకవిధమైనచేప.

A lump, mass, morsel. కబళము, పిండము, ఉండ. ముద్దకావడము to form or collect in a mass. వారు తడిసి ముద్ద అయినారు they are soaking wet, or are a mass of wet.నెత్తురు ముద్దగానున్నది it is a mass of blood ముద్ద కర్జూరము a species of date. ముద్దపప్పు pease pudding, యూషము. తడి ముద్దగానుండే బట్టలు a wet wisp of clothes. ముద్దకమ్మరలు mudda-kammaralu. n. Smelters, smiths who work at smelting iron. రాయి కరగి యినుము చేసేవారు. ముద్దకవ్వము mudda-kavvamu. n. A sort of churning staff, with a heavy mass at the end. కర్రబిళ్లతగిలించినకవ్వము. ముద్దకూడు mudda-kūḍu. n. A lump of boiled rice. A paste of rice and ashes applied to the eye of a drum forming the black spot in the centre of the head, for the purpose of regulating the tone. చన్నపిండము, పుష్కరలేపనార్థమైన భస్మమృదితాన్నము. ముద్దకొలిమి mudda-kolimi. n. A forge for smelting iron. రాతిలోనున్నయినుము కరిగే కొలిమి. ముద్దీటె mudd-īṭe. n. A stout spear. ముద్దవాయువు mudda-rāyuvu. n. The cramp. కాళ్లుచేతులు ముద్దలుగా కట్టుకొను వాతరోగము.
