(p. 28) accu aṭṭsu. n. A stamp, a form for printing or for any other impression, a type, a printing press. An axle-tree. A mould. The handle of a handmill, A weaver's reed or stay. An image, or picture. ప్రతి రూపమును కల్పించేటిది, ఇరుసుమాను, తిరగటి పిడి, బట్ట వేసేటందుకు సాధనమైనది, ప్రతిబింబము. పోత అచ్చు the mould wherein clay or metal is cast. ఇటికె అచ్చు the box or mould used in making bricks. అచ్చక్షరములు printed letters. అచ్చువేయు to print. ఇంకా అచ్చువేయని unprinted, unpublished.అచ్చువేసేవాడు a printer. అక్షరాల అచ్చులు types of letters. బెల్లపు అచ్చు a square mould into which boiled treacle is poured, and thus formed into cakes. అచ్చుబెల్లము a lump of jaggery, అచ్చొత్తు to seal, impress with a mark, to print అచ్చుకూటము (a Madras word,) A printing press office ముద్రాశాల. అచ్చుబల్ల the frame on which a weaver's reed is fixed. అచ్చువేసినయెద్దు a 'brahminy' bull that is marked or stamped and is allowed to wander at large, as consecrated to the deity. అచ్చుకట్టు or అచ్చుకట్టువేయు v. a. To prepare land for wet cultivation by throwing up banks to divide it into plots, partitions or beds. మళ్లుగా ఏర్పరచు అచ్చుకట్టించినమడి or అచ్చుకట్టు పొలము a field which is divided into beds for wet cultivation. అచ్చులపోయు to find yarn on the frame for weaving (Cuddapa.) అచ్చుగా aṭṭsu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Precisely, exactly, clearly, evidently. 'పిచ్చుకపై బ్రహ్మాస్తము నచ్చుగ దొడిగినవితాన.' T. iv. 22.

(p. 45) adhamarṇuḍu adhamarṇuḍu. [Skt.] n. A debtor. అప్పుపడ్డవాడు. ఉత్తమర్ణుడు a creditor. అప్పిచ్చువాడు (from ఋణము a debt.)

(p. 56) anupu anupu. [Tel.] n. Toll, customs; ambuscade, ambush, సుంకము. పొంచియుండే చోటు. 'తెరవలిటునీరు పోయ పందిలియు జేరి, యవలగొర గాక పిచ్చుకుంటైయనంగు, డనువుగొనజొచ్చె కల్లగుట్టమర.' A. ii. 69. టీ సుంకము పుచ్చుకోనుపక్రమించెను. అనుపు v. a. To send, dismiss. పంపించు. 'నన్ననువుగాధల చేతనెప్రొద్దు ద్రోయకన్.' H. i. 42.

(p. 96) aviṭi aviṭi. [Tel.] n. He who is maimed, crippled or deformed. A blind man. అంగహీనుడు, వికలాంగుడు, గుడ్డి, పిచ్చుగుంటు.

(p. 288) kuṇṭi kunṭi. [Tel.] adj. Lame, crooked. గాలికుంట్లు windgalls, rheumatism. కుంటితనము kunṭi-tanamu. n. Lameness, a crippled state. కుంటుkunṭu. n. Lameness, crookedness. A lame man కుంటు పిచ్చుక, కుంటివాడు. v. n. To limp, to go lame. కుంటుపడు kunṭu-paḍu. v. n. To become lame. కుంటియగు. To fail, or break down as an undertaking. విఘ్నమగు. (p. 365) gāli gāli. [Tel.] n. Wind, air, breeze. వాయువు. Scent మృగములదేహవాసన. A devil పిశాచము. plu. గాలులు. వానికి గాలి సోకినది he is possessed by a devil. గాలి విద్య an art that, like painting, depends on geniua alone and cannot be taught. గాలిమాట. a rumour. Empty talk, nonsense, లోక ప్రవాదము. గాలికుంటు a spavin, a disease that attacks horses and cattle. పిచ్చుకకుంటి, పశువులకు గొరిసెలందు పుండుపడే వ్యాధి. గాలికల a senseless or empty dream. వారిది గాలిజీవనము they live upon the wind, i.e., they have no settled means of life. గాలికుక్క gāli-kukka. n. A hound: because it follows the scent. గాలిగుడి gāli-guḍi. n. A halo round the sun or moon. పరివేషము. గాలిగాడు gāli-gāḍu. n. An ass; a fool. గాలిగుడ్డు gāli-guḍḍu. lit. A wind egg. A simpleton. Nothing, nonsense. గాలిగూళ్లు (from గూడు.) gāli-gūḷḷu. n. A mode of arranging sheaves so as to be aired. గాలిగొను gāli-gonu. v. n. To be aired. గాలిపారు. గాలిగోపురము gāli-gōpuramu. n. The dome over a temple gate: a steeple. The ornamented gate of a temple. గాలి చక్రము gāli-chakramu. n. A weather-cock. గాలిదిండి gālidinḍi. n. A snake. పాము. గాలినెచ్చెలి gāli-nechecheli. n. (p. 613) dōpiḍi, dōpu or దోపుడు dōpiḍi. [Tel. from దోచు.] n. Plunder, devastation, pillage. దోపిచ్చువారు those who submit to be robbed. A. vi. 101. దోపుడుపడు or దోపుడుపోవు dōpuḍu-paḍu. v. n. To be robbed. దోపరి, దోపిడికాడు, దోపుకాడు or దోపుడువాడు a thief, దొంగ. దోపుడు సొమ్ము loot.

(p. 752) piccika or పిచ్చుక pichhika. [Tel.] n. A sparrow. పిచ్చికకుంటు, పిచ్చికుంటు, పిచ్చుకకుంటు,లేక, పిచ్చుకుంటు one who hops like a sparrow, i.e., a lame man; a cripple. అనూరుడు, కాళ్లులేనివాడు; a beggar, బిచ్చమెత్తువాడు. వెదురుపిచ్చిక, కొండపిచ్చిక, చెరుకుపిచ్చిక, ఊరపిచ్చుక, పొదపిచ్చిక, పేదపిచ్చుక are different species. పిచ్చికగోళ్లు pichchika-gōḷḷu. n. 'Sparrow's claws.' A sort of grain. H. iv. 156. పిచ్చికమీను pichchika-mīnu n. A flying fish, Exocetus volitans. పిచ్చుకకాలు piṭsṭsuka-kālu. n. A kind of grass.

(p. 804) poṭṭi or పొటి poṭṭi. [Tel.] adj. Short, small in size. పొట్టింపుచీరణము a kind of a short chisel. పొట్టికాకర poṭṭi-kākara. n. The tree called Momordica muricata. పొట్టితనము poṭṭi-tanamu. n. Shortness of stature. పొట్టిపిట్ట or పొట్టిపిచ్చుక poṭṭi-piṭṭa. n. The Ashycrowned Fincylark, Pyrrhilauda grisca, (F.B.I.) పొట్టివాడు poṭṭi-vāḍu. n. A little man. కుబ్జుడు.

(p. 858) baṇḍāru banḍāru. [Tel. బండ+ఆరు.] n. Saffron ground on a stone. రాతిమీదరాచి పూనుకొనేపసుపు. బండారుకర్ర banḍāru-karra. n. A hard yellow wood like mango wood. The Karum timber tree, Adina cordifolie (E. P.) బండారుపిచ్చుక ban-ḍāru-piṭsṭsuka. n. 'The golden head,' a kind of bird, probably Loxia philippenses పీతమండము.
