(p. 777) puṣyamu pashyamu. [Skt.] n. The lunar month (December - January, or January February,) in which the moon's change takes place when the sun is in Capricorn. పుష్యమి pushyami. n. The eighth of the lunar mansions. పుష్యరాగము pushya-rāgamu. n. A topaz.

(p. 804) poṭla poṭla. [Tel. lit: that which has spots. పొడలుకలది. cf. Tamil పొడలంగాయ.] n. The constellation called పుష్యమి, పొట్లపూరిక్క నెల the month called పుష్యమాసము.

The Telugu months are చైత్రము, వైశాఖము, జ్యేష్ఠము, ఆషాఢము, శ్రావణము, భాద్రపదము. ఆశ్వయుజము, కార్తీకము, మార్గశిరము, పుష్యము, మాఘము, ఫాల్గునము. అధికమాసము an intercalary month. క్షయమాసము a lost month. నిజమాసము the month proper. నక్షత్రచంద్రమాసము the time wherein the moon moves through a sidereal revolution. Also, same as మాషము a small weight.
