A pickaxe, an instrument for breaking clods. గడ్డపార gaḍḍa-pāra. A crowbar. గడ్డపొయ్యి a fire place formed by putting three stones or clods of earth together. గడ్డలుగా ఏర్పరిచిన పొయ్యి.

(p. 363) gāḍi gāḍi. [Tel.] n. A drinking trough or manager, a ditch, a groove. గాడినుయ్యి a well that is provided with a trough for watering cattle. గాడిపొయ్యి a kitchen range, being a trench containing fire under a line of places for pots.

(p. 443) cali ṭsali. [Tel.] n. Cold, coolness, a chill. శీతము, శీతబాధ. చలిజ్వరము cold and fever, i.e., ague. నాకు చలిపెట్టినది I felt cold. చలి. adj. (A. iv. 151. on which the note says 'జువ్వున పులుసు తిన్నందువల్ల తీసుక పొయ్యేనోటిపండ్లు.') చలిపని a cooling operation, శైత్యోపచారము. చలిబిండి ṭsali-binḍi. n. The name of a certain plant. చలిమల ṭsali-mala. n. The hill of snow, i.e., హిమాచలము. చలిమిడి ṭsalimiḍi. n. A mixture of rice flour and sugar బెల్లము కలిపిన పిండి. చలిమిరి or చల్మిరి ṭsali-miri. n. (p. 802) pokkali pokkali. [Tel.] n. One of the three legs or projecting lumps supporting the boiler on an earthen fireplace, పొయ్యి మీది ఎత్తుగడ్డలు, మూడురాళ్లు పెట్టిన పొయ్యి. A portable oven, ఎత్తుడుపొయ్యి. పొక్కటి గడ్డలు or పొక్కటిరాళ్లు pokkaṭi-gaḍḍalu. n. Stones used as a temporary fireplace. పొయ్యిరాళ్లు. వారు ముగ్గురు పొక్కటిరాళ్లరీతిగానున్నారు those three are as inseparable as the three legs of a fireplace.

An oven formed by digging a pit in the ground.
