(p. 122) āru āru. [Tel.] v. n. To teem with, be full of నిండు; to be or have. సొంపారిన beautiful. ఇంపారిన delightful. నిండారుగానున్నది it is full. అలరారు blooming. చెన్నారిన lovely. పొల్పారిన charming (compare the affix ఆరి as నేర్పరి, సొంపరి, &c.) గోజారు to trouble. సొంపారు to bloom, to be pretty. In such phrases as నూరారు వెయ్యారు the word అరు is not the numeral six, but is a form of అరు to be full; so వెయ్యారు means full thousand and నూరారు full a hundred. నూరారుముద్దులు a full hundred kisses. చేతులారంగ శివుని పూజింపడేని if he sacrifice not to Siva with his own hands. చేతులార రూకలు చెల్లిస్తిని I paid the money with my own hands. పని ఆరుమూడు అయినది the work is all in confusion, at sixes and sevens.

(p. 814) polupu or పొల్పు polupu. [Tel.] n. Beauty, elegance, gracefulness, agreeableness. సొంపు. Manner, mode, వైఖరి, రీతి. Firmness, స్థైర్యము. 'పొలుపుమీరిన నెలవంకిబొమలు జూచి, రమణదళుకొత్తు బింబాధరంబుజూచి.' Rukmang. i. 158. పొలుపుగా polupu-gā. adv. Duly, rightly. పొలుపొందు or పొల్పొందు polup-ondu. v. n. To be charming. సొంపొందు. పొలుపారు or పొల్పారు polup-āru. v. n. To appear, shine, be beautiful or pleasant, వెలయు. పొలుపరి or పొల్పరి polup-ari. adj. Beautiful, charming. పొల్పెసలార or పొలుపార polp-esal-āra. adv. Charmingly, fully.

(p. 1078) rikka rikka. [Tel.] n. A star. నక్షత్రము. A constellation, a lunar mansion. A peculiar noise made in driving cattle. పశువులను తోలునపుడు చేయు ధ్వని. A pustule, weal, blister. బొబ్బ. రిక్కించు rikkinṭsu. v. a. To prick up the ears, &c. నిక్కించు, నిక్కపొడుచు. 'బిగుపట్టెళ్లమరించి వేటకుభటుల్ వేర్వేర నంకించిముందుగబిల్వన్ మరియున్ బయల్ పసిగొనన్ దాటున్ దిశల్ నిక్కినీలిగికాల్ద్రవ్రు వెలుంగిడున్ చెవిగవల్ రిక్కించిమై బ్రాకుపొల్పుగడల్గొల్పుచు బోవుదిస్స మొలవేల్పున్ దత్తడున్ మొత్తమిన్.' R. ii. 19. రిక్కవెట్టు or రిక్కవిడు rikka-veṭṭu. v. n. To stretch the body through drowsiness. ఒళ్లువిరుచుకొను. 'కుక్కలబిల్చు చురిక్క వెర్టుచును, నెక్కొననొరగాలనిల్చుచుంజనుచు.' BD. iii. 2244. రిక్కు rikku. n. The noise made by waving a cane of whip, etc.

(p. 1325) sāraṇi sārani. [Skt.] n. A sluice, drain, or canal. చెరువుతూము, కాలువ. 'సాంద్రమాన మరంద రసప్రవాహ సంతతుల సారణులపొల్పె సంగుచోట.' Vedanta. R. ii. 20.
