Having become, turned into. మాకు అయి నిలిచినాడు he stood like a post., i.e., he has transfixed with surprise &c. దొంగ అయి తిరుగుతున్నాడు he has turned thief. పోకిరి అయిపోయినాడు he has become a wicked fellow. అయిన (past rel. p|| of అగు to become.) Accomplished, becoming, agreeable, suitable. అయినపని a work that is accomplished, a becoming art. అయిన పెండ్లాము a good wife. అయినమందు a suitable medicine. అయినమనిషి a useful or proper man. అయినవాండ్లు friends, relations. See కాని. అయిన is also used to change nouns into adjectives as సొగసైన పిల్ల, ఆశ్చర్యమైన కార్యము a wonderful deed. For other uses, see under ఐన.

(p. 302) kūcimāramu kūchi-māramu. [Tel.] n. Nonsense, mere conceits, lewdness. పోకిరితనము. 'కుటిలకుచ్ఛితములు కూచిమారములు, మటుమాయతనములు, మందుమాకులును.' L. vii. 278. కూచిమారుడు kūchi-māruḍu. n. A lewd man.

(p. 725) palu palu. [Tel.] adj. Many, several, various. అనేకము. పలుతెరువులు various ways. 'పలుబల్కులు.' A. vi. 52. పలుకొమ్ముల మెకము palu-kommula-mekamu. n. An elephant. పలుగురు, పలుగుండ్రు, పలువురు or పలువుండ్రు paluguru. n. plu. Several men, many men. 'పలుగురునడిచెడు తెరుపున, పులుమొలవదు మొలిచెనేని పొదలదు సుమతీ.' (p. 992) muṇḍamu munḍamu. [Skt.] n. The head cut off from the neck. దేహములేని తల. A shaven pate, a bald head. బోడితల. The trunk of a lopped tree. కొమ్మలు పోయిన మోటుచెట్టు. 'భవమ్మండపుధారోష్ణము.' A. vi. 29. ముండము or ముండితము munḍamu. adj. Shaved, bald, having no hair on the head గొరగబడిన. ముండ manḍa. n. Lit: One whose head is shaven. A widow, విధవ. A wretch. A whore. వేశ్య. ముండ మోయు munḍa-mōyu. v. n. To become a widow, వైధవ్యమునొందు. To become useless, వ్యర్థమగు. అది చెడ్డముండ she is a wretched slut. ఆడముండ a miserable creature. పోకిరిముండ an immoral wretch. పేదముండ a poor wretch. ముండమోపి a widow. పిచ్చిముండ a simpleton. అది రాక్షసి ముండగనుక as she is a horrid wretch. ముండలమారి, ముండరి or ముండలముఠాకోరు a whoremonger. ముండనుపెట్టుకొన్నాడు he keeps a concubine. ముండనము munḍa-namu. n. Shaving, shearing, cutting. క్షౌరము. ముండి munḍi. n. Bald-pate: one who has a shaven head. బోడితలవాడు. A barber, మంగలవాడు. ముండుడు mun-ḍuḍu. n. A bald headed man, బోడితలవాడు. A monk. సన్యాసి. 'పరిగ్రహవిముఖుడై ముండుండు ననికేతనుండు వృక్షమూలవాసి యుగపాలధరుండు.' M. XII. v. 133.

(p. 1031) mēḷanamu mēḷanamu. [Skt.] n. Mecting, union, coming together. Connection, affinity, as of two languages. కలియడము, కూడిక. మేళము mēḷamu. n. Union, కూడిక. A set of musical instruments, వాద్యముల౛త. A band of musicians, a set of dancers or singers. The music used by them. వేషగాండ్రయొక్కయు నటుల యొక్క యుగుంపు, పాటగాండ్రగుంపు. ఆ పెండ్లికి నాలుగుమేళములను పిలిపించినారు they sent for four bands to come to the wedding. అది యిప్పుడు మేళానికి పోవడములేదు she does not now dance. పోకిరిమేళము a pack of rascals. మేళతాళములు instrumental music. మేళవించు or మేళగించు mēḷa-vinṭsu. v. n. To unite, be joined, ౛తగూడు, కలియు. v. a. To mix, unite in harmony, as the sound of various instruments. కలుపు, ౛తకుర్చు, శ్రుతికూర్చు. 'అతడు నపుడు పాటకాయి తముగ, వీణెమేళవించి వెలుపలి మొసలనునిచిలోనికరగి.' KP. ii. 98. 'వీరశృంగారములు మేళవించునట్టి, చెలువమునవిందు ముఖులు.' Jaimini. v. 125.

(p. 1071) rāga rāga. [Tel.] n. A bad creature, దుష్టుడు. లాగదాగుడురాగ a serpent, సర్పము. 'లాగదాగుడురాగ ప్రోగులిడెడుప్రోడ.' (Aṭasṭsa Telugu Rāmayan,) i.e., Siva, the hero who wears as an earrring a serpent that hides in a hole. An adulteress, జారిణి. A proud or wicked man, ఉద్ధతుడు, ధూర్తుడు. adj. Shrewish wicked. గయ్యాళి, దుష్ట, చెడుగరమైన. 'కూతురురరాగైన మాతతప్పు అశ్వంబుచెడుగైన నారోహకుని తప్పు.' Nrisim. §. 12. రాగతుంగ a kind of grass called భద్రముస్తకము. రాగతనము rāgatanamu. n. Envy, malice. మాత్సర్యము. 'లోగనించు కైనరాగతనంబునదో చివలువలెల్ల దాచినావు గీజుపోరకిమ్ము నేజవవలెనన్న.' Appa kavi. ii. 36. రాగంట్లమారి rāganṭla-māri. n. A blackguard, a villain. పోకిరి, గండాగుండి.
