(p. 868) baraḍu or బెరడు baraḍu. [Tel.] n. The rough bark of the tamarind and certain other trees, చింతలుమొదలైనవాటి పైబెరడు. adj. Skinny, lean, as the ribs. 'గుజ్జుజిరుదొడలను దొప్పచెవులనుబరడు ప్రక్కలు.' BD. iii. 2231.

(p. 868) bari bari. [Tel.] n. A side. పార్శ్వము. 'పక్కలు నాటించి బరులుచెండాడి.' Pal. 108. బరులుబ్బు to bloat, as the belly or the sides of the belly. A line drawn on the ground in a circle, గిరి. An elephant goad, ఏనుగుప్రక్కలుపొడిచి బెదరించుటకై అర్థచంద్రాకారముగా ఉక్కుతో చేసిన అలుగుగల వేణుదండము. A thief, దొంగ. An enemy, శత్రువు. adj. (for బరిగి), Naked. బరిమేను = దిగంబరదేహము. 'తొడమెడ బరికాలు దోరంపుచెవులు.' B. D. i. 514. బరికట్టె or బరికమ్మి bari-katṭe. A spear without a handle, అలుగులేనియీటె. A crook or stick used by herdsman, దోటి.' గొడ్డలిబరికమ్మికూటికుండయును.'
