(p. 5) aṅgamu angamu. [Skt.] n. The body, a limb, member, part, division or branch. అంగవంచకము = ఉపాయము, సహాయము, దేశకాలవిభజనము, ఆపదకు ప్రతిక్రియ, కార్యసిద్ధి. అద్భుతాంగులు beings having wondrous forms. అష్టాంగములు = the eight forms or stages of meditation, i. e, యమము, నియమము, ప్రాణాయామము, ప్రత్యాహారము, ధ్యానము, ధారణ, మననము, సమాధి. చతురంగములు the four divisions of an army, i. e., రథములు, ఏనుగులు, గుర్రములు, బంటులు. పంచాంగము the Indian calendar giving particulars of each day, as తిథి, వారము, నక్షత్రము, యోగము, కరణము. రాజ్యాంగములు the various departments of Government. షడంగములు or వేదాంగములు the six sciences dependent on the Vedas. i. e., శిక్ష, కల్పము, వ్యాకరణము, నిరుక్తము, జ్యోతిషము, ఛందస్సు. సప్తాంగములు = the seven constituents of a Government. స్వామి, అమాత్యుడు, సుహృత్తు, కోశము, రాష్ట్రము, దుర్గము, బలము. సాష్టాంగ ప్రణామము prostrate homage, touching the ground with eight members of the body, i. e., eyes or chest and forehead, hands, knees and feet.

(p. 18) akaṭavikaṭamu n. Opposition, contrariety, awkardness. విరుద్ధము, ప్రతికూలము. ఎందుకు అకటవికటము చేస్తున్నావు why do you give trouble?

(p. 18) akaṭavikaṭamu akaṭa-vikaṭamu. [Tel.] adj. Adverse, contrary, awkard, inverted, contrariwise. తారుమారైన, విరుద్ధమైన, ప్రతికూలమైన, అకటవికటమైన మాట an incoherent speech, a prevarication, అకటవికటపు మాటలాడుట to shuffle, prevaricate, అకటవికటమైన పని an awkward, confused or troublesome affair.

(p. 63) apasavyamu apa-savyamu. [Skt.] adj. Contrary, opposite to, on the wrong side ప్రతికూలమైన, దక్షిణమైన, అనగా కుడిదైన, అపసవ్యలిపి letters written the wrong way as in a seal. అపసవ్యము n. Putting the braminical thread the wrong way: that is, on the right shoulder and letting it fall on the left side instead of lying on the left shoulder. జందెమును కుడిభుజము మీద నుంచి యెడమభుజమునకు కిందితట్టుగా వేసుకోవడము.

(p. 66) apratikāramu a-pratikāramu. [Skt.] n. Ingratitude. కృతఘ్నత. 'క్రోధంబప్రతికారమై హృదయముం గుందింపనత్యంత చింతాధూతాత్ముడనై.' M. IV. ii. 281.

(p. 827) prati prati. [SKt.] n. A Sanskrit particle, prefixed to words of that language, and implying Opposition or substitution, (instead of, in lieu of, opposed to,) order, distribution, (severally, each by each.) direction, designation, (toward, upon.) possession or inclusion in (as a part, or portion.) exchange, return, (again, back again.) ప్రతివేదమ each Veda. ప్రతిదినము every day. ప్రతిసంవత్సరము each year. ప్రత్యేకము one by one. ప్రతికక్షి the opposite party. ప్రతివాది a defendant. adj. Equal, సమానము, మారు. ప్రతి. n. The other. A match, an equivalent or substitute. A copy, as of a letter. A bit, section, spot of ground. One twelfth of a గుంట, one part or length of a wall. ప్రతిలేని matchless, unrivalled. మరియొక. ప్రతిలో ఇట్లు వ్రాయబడియున్నది it is thus written in another manuscript or copy.

(p. 827) pratikāramu or ప్రతిక్రియ prati-kāramu. [Skt.] n. A return of offices, either good, or bad. Revenge, retaliation. Remedying, counteracting. A remedy, an antidote, what averts a spell. మారుచేయుట. ప్రలికారవచనము a contradictory expression. S. iii. 360.

(p. 827) pratikūlamu prati-kūlamu. [Skt.] adj. Contrary, adverse, unfavourable, reverse, inverted. అనుకూలముకాని, విరుద్ధమైన. ప్రతికూలమైనగాలి an adverse wind.

(p. 829) prativādi prati-vādi. [Skt.] n. A respondent or defendant. ప్రతికక్షిగానుండువాడు. ప్రతివాదించు prati-vādinṭsu. v. a. To defend in argument, to reply to charges. ప్రతికక్షియై మాట్లాడు, ఎదురాడు.

Impossible, దుర్లభము. 'కూడుదానగల్గెనేని కూరగుటమందు.' ఆము. iv. మందుపట్టడ mandu-paṭṭaḍa. n. A place where fireworks are prepared. బాణసంచుచేసెడుశాల. మందుమల mandu-mala. n.
