(p. 697) paṭṭi paṭṭi. [Tel. from పట్టు.] a postposition. A sign of the fifth case of nouns. For, because of, on account of, with reference to. నిన్ను పట్టి యీ పనిచేస్తున్నాను I do this for your sake. It is added to the infinitive of verbs, as ఆ టోపి ఉండబట్టిగాని లేకపోతే అతని తల పగులును had it not been for the cap his skull would have been fractured. కాలము యుక్తముగాతీరబట్టి, (i.e., తీరినదిగనుక) as the season turned out well or proved good. 'ప్రభవించబట్టి' (L. XIV. 29.) because he was born. కాబట్టి therefore, it being so, such being the case. పట్టి n. A child, an infant. బిడ్డ, కొడుకు, కూతురు. పట్టిపట్టి a son's son or daughter, మనుమడు, మనుమరాలు. A roll of betel. A list. పట్టితల్లి a woman who has borne a child. తాంబూలపట్టి a roll or mouthful of betel. [Skt.] n. A plate, పలక. Also, a gold band or fillet tied across the forehead at the time of one's coronation, పట్టము.

(p. 835) prabhava pra-bhava. [Skt.] n. The name of a Telugu year. ప్రభవము pra-bhavamu. n. Birth, పుట్టుక. ప్రభవించు pra-bhavinṭsu. v. n. To be born or produced. పుట్టు, కలుగు, జనించుచ. ప్రభవుడు pra-bhavuḍu. n. One who is born, పుట్టినవాడు.

(p. 1231) vyaktamu vyaktamu. [Skt.] adj. Apparent, clear, manifest, evident, disclosed, revealed, distinct, specified, తెల్లమైన, స్పష్టమైన, ప్రకాశితమైన, తెలియబడిన. వ్యక్తత or వ్యక్తత్వము vyaktata. n. Distinctness, manifestation. స్పష్టత. వ్యక్తి vyakti. n. An incarnation, జాతికివేరై జాతికి ఆశ్రయమైన స్వరూపము, పృథక్స్వరూపము. An individual, a person, a man, జనుడు. ఒకడు. Manifestation, స్పష్టము. 'భక్తహితార్థమై ప్రభవించెనీకు, వ్యక్తిగాజెప్పితి వగవకుమింక.' BD. i. 477. వ్యక్తిగా, అనగా స్పష్టముగా. 'భక్తునకును దోడు పరిచారునిచ్చి, వ్యక్తిసందర్శనాసక్తినేతెంచి.' ib. v. 444. వ్యక్తుడు vyaktuḍu. n. A man of the world, a man of understanding. తెలిసివాడు, తెలివిగలాడు. వ్యక్తురాలు vyaktu-r-ālu n. A clever woman, a woman of understanding. తెలివిగలది.
