(p. 629) naṭat naṭat. [Skt.] adj. Dancing. 'నటదుద్యద్భ్రకుటీభయంకర.' (Anir. iv. 53.) terrible with moving eyebrows. నటన or నటనము natana. n. A dance, dancing. నాట్యము. Motion, agitation; cunning behaviour, కపటప్రవర్తనము. మాయానటనము a course of fraud. నటి naṭi. n. An actress. వేశ్య , నట్టువుని పెండ్లాము. నటించు naṭinṭsu. v. n. To dance. To act, as on the stage. నాట్యమాడు to act, manage, conduct oneself, behave. వర్తించు. To behave cunningly, కపటముగా ప్రవర్తించు. నటుడు naṭuḍu. n. (p. 630) naḍacu Same as నడుచు. (q. v.) నడ or నడక naḍa. n. A walk, walking, stepping, motion, movement. గమనము. Pace, step, manner of walking, gait. A trip or journey. పడవ మూడునడలు వచ్చినది the boat made three trips. adj. Walking, moving. locomotive. నడకొండలు moving mountains. నడపీనుగు a walking corpse: a fool, a good for nothing man. (p. 631) naḍucu or నడచు naḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To walk, go, move, proceed. To happen, occur, pass, take place. To behave, conduct oneself, ప్రవర్తించు. To take effect, as an order. To live, continue, last. To descend, as an estate. To beat, as applied to the pulse. To act (as a father, servant, &c.) వారికిందనడిచేభూమి the field they hold or enjoy. నడిచేనెల the current month, వానికిని మాకును నడిచిన జాబులు the letters that passed between us. నడిచినజగడము the dispute that took place. శ్లోకము నడవవద్దా surely the verse ought to flow easily. ఆ ఉత్సవము నడుస్తున్నదా is the feast still kept up? నడుపు or నడపు naḍupu. v. a. (p. 642) nāṭakamu nāṭakamu. [Skt.] n. Acting, dancing. నర్తనము. A play, or drama. Conduct, ప్రవర్తనము. వీధి నాటకము a street play. స్ఫుటజగన్నాటకము the visible course of the world, the order of creation. జగన్నాటకుడు God, the ruler of the universe. నాటకశాల or నాట్యశాల a theatre. నాటకమాడు ṇāṭakam-āḍu. v. n. To act a play. నాటకులు nāṭakulu. n. Stageplayers, dramatis personæ. నాట్యము nāṭyamu. n. Dancing, a dance, నృత్యము. నాట్యమాడు to dance.

(p. 816) pō pō. (The infinitive of పోవు) అతడు పోజూచి seeing that he was gone. పో pō. (Imperative of పోవు.) v. n. Go, పొమ్ము. In many places this is a mere expletive, as Go to. (in English). It denotes certainty or disregard, నిశ్చయమును లేక ఆనాదరమును తెలుపును. 'తెచ్చెదంబో వసుదేవమాను.' ఉ. హరి. v. పోక pōka. n. Going. పోవడము. Conduct, behaviour, నడవడి. పోకలు n. plu. Evil ways, wickedness. పోకరింతనములు Foolish wishes, or longings, ముద్దుకోరికలు. 'పల్పోకశృంగారములు.' (T. iii. 81.) very naughty pranks. పోకరిసొగసులు నీవుపోయినదే పోకా are you to be indulged in every thing? వారేమి అదేపోక పోయిరి I am surprised that they did not come back. పోక pōka. for పోవక(neg. p. of పోవు.) Without going. Also for పోకు, i.e., పోవద్దు don't go. (the final A being intensive.) పోకడ pō-kaḍa. n. Going, departure, going off. గమనము, గతి Behaviour, conduct, నడత, ప్రవర్తనము. Riddance. Ruin, నాశము. నెలదినాలుగా రాకడపోకడలేదు there has been no inter course between us for a month (literally going and coming.) పోకడపెట్టు pōkaḍa-peṭṭu. v. a. To drive away, to remove, పోగొట్టు. To sell, అమ్ము. విక్రయించు. దాన్ని ఎట్లైనను పోకడపెట్టు get rid of it in any way. పోకలాడి pōkal-āḍi. (పోకలు+ఆడి) n. A coquette, వగలాడి. 'క చూపట్ట గోమయంబున, జేపట్టొనరించి జడల జెక్కినలింగం, బాపోకలాడి కైకొని వేపికడన్నిలిపిభక్తివివశయు బోలెన్.' S. ii. 49. పోకలాడు pōkal-āḍu. v. n. To be coquettish, to flirt. పోకాడు pōkāḍu. (పోక+ఆడు.) v. n. To go, పోవు. To be done away with, to be destroyed, నశించు. పోకార్చు pōkārṭsu. v. a. To lose, పోగొట్టు, పోగొట్టుకొను. To destroy, ruin. 'రఘుకుమారుడరివర్గము పోకార్చి.' R. iii. 137. పోకాలు pōkālu. v. n. To go, as anger, sorrow, &c. పోవు. పోకరి pōkiri. n. A wicked man, a villain rogue, lewd fellow, blackguard, దుర్మార్గుడు adj. Naughty, wicked, mischievous, unprincipled. పోకరిమాట an obsence word. పోకిళ్లు pōkiḷḷu. n. plu. Idle wishes, fopperies, whims, freaks, whimsies. పోకిళ్లమారి a fop, an epicure.

(p. 838) pravartakuḍu pra-vartakuḍu. [Skt.] n. One who carries on or manages, నడపువాడు. The original instigator or author of an act, the doer. A manager, or superintendent. కారకుడు, అధికారి. గ్రామప్రవర్తకుడు the manager or agent of a village. ఉభయవేదాంతవర్తకులయిన he who cultivates both systems of theology. ప్రవర్తన or ప్రవర్తనము pra-vartana. n. Conduct, behaviour, నడత, ఆచారము. ప్రవర్తమానము pra-varta-mānamu. adj. Currnet, as a year. నడుచుచున్న. ప్రవర్తించు or ప్రవర్తిల్లు pra-varṭinṭsu. v. n. To behave, go on, conduct oneself. దుర్మార్గముగా ప్రవర్తించుచున్నాడు he behaves very ill.
