A kind of puzzle, riddle or question which contains the solution or answer in itself. విడికథవలె అతికఠినమైన ప్రశ్నలు ఉత్తరములుగా మండేటిది. e.g. క' శ్రీకాంతునిదినమెన్నఁడు రాకొమరునికెద్ది ప్రియము రథతిథియెన్నం డేకొలదినన్నమరుంగును ఏకాదశినాఁడు సప్తమేడేగడియల్. ' శ్లో' కాశంభుకాంతాకిముచంద్రకాంతం, కాంతాముఖంకింకురుతేభుజంగః, కశ్శ్రీపతిఃకావిషమాసమస్యా, గౌరీముఖంచుంబతివాసుదేవః. '

(p. 281) kindu or క్రిందు kindu. [Tel.] n. The ground. కింద kinda. (a postposition) Below, under. For, concerning. ఆకర్చుకింద పది రూపాయలు వ్రాసినాడు he charged ten rupees for it. అప్పుకింద పుచ్చుకొనెను he took it in payment of the loan. అతని చేతికింద under his power, subordinate to him; తప్పుకిందపడె it proved erroneous; జిలుగుకిందవచ్చే అక్షరము a handwriting partaking of the illegible. కింద kinda. adv. (p. 300) kuśalamu kuṣalamu. [Skt.] n. Well being, happiness. క్షేమము. కుశలప్రశ్నలడిగిరి they asked him regarding his welfare. adj. Skilful, conversant, expert, clever. నేర్పరి. కుశలత kuṣalata. n. Cleverness, ability; eloquence. Wellbeing.

(p. 737) pātāḷamu pātāḷamu. [Skt.] n. The nether world, Hades, క్రింది లోకము. ఆ గుంట పాతాళము వలెనున్నది that pond is as deep as Hades. ఈ బావిలో నీళ్లు పాతాళములో నున్నవి the water is very low down in this well. 'పాతాళప్రశ్నలుమాని మేల్కొనుము.' A. vi. 77. టీ పాతాళప్రశ్నలుమాని అధోగతి ప్రశ్నలు విడిచిపెట్టి, దూరప్రశ్నలుమాని, నిండా గూఢముగా నుండేదానిని అడగడమును చాలించుకొని పాతాళగంగ. పాతాళగంగ pātāḷa-ganga. n. The name of the river that flows through the Hindu Hades. Also, the name of that branch of the Krishna which flows past Sri Sailum. పాతాళభది pātāḷa-bhēdi. n. A grappling hook or drag to recover things sunk in a river.

(p. 1022) meḍa or మెడకాయ meḍa. [Tel.] n. The neck, కంఠము, గళము. మెడమీది జందెము the Brahminical cord worn over the shoulder. మెడకొంకులు the collar bones. మెడనుకట్టు to tie on the neck, i.e., to oblige, to constrain. ఈ ముసలిదానిని నామెడను కట్టిపోయినాడు he left the old woman as a weight upon my neck. మెడబట్టినూకు to push by the neck. మెడనులిగాడు meḍa-nuli-gāḍu. n. The bird called the Wryneck. మెడనూలు meḍa-nūlu. n. A necklace made of gold threads plaited together. మెడవిరువు ప్రశ్నలు teasing questions. నీకు మెడచాచినది మొదలు ever since I took you for my husband. మెడపొంపు the back of the neck. మెడపిసుకు. n. A neck break, i.e., a puzzle or jaw-breaker. మెడపిసుకు. v. To press the neck, to throttle. మెడపిసికి చంపినాడు he strangled him. మెడ నులుము, i.e., to twist the neck. మెడవాలు, మడివాలు or మడివేలు meḍa-vālu. n. A washerman, a washer-woman, చాకలవాడు, చాకలిది.
