(p. 823) prakaraṇamu prakaranamu. [Skt.] n. An introduction, prologue or prelude. A chapter or section in a book. The plot or thread of a story. An affair, case. Connection, ప్రస్తావము. ఆ ప్రకరణమందు on that occasion.

(p. 840) praśaṃsa pra-ṣamsa. [Skt.] n. Praise, commendation, eulogy. స్తోత్రము, స్తుతి. A subject, topic: mention. ప్రస్తావము. ఆప్రశంస తెచ్చినాడుకాడు he made no mention of the matter. ప్రశంసించు pra-ṣamsinṭsu. v. a. To praise, స్తుతించు, పొగడు. To mention, allude to , speak of. ప్రస్తావముచేయు. ఆయన పేరును నిర్నిమిత్తముగా ప్రశంసింపరాదు thou shalt not take his name in vain. ప్రశస్తము or ప్రశస్తులైన pra-ṣastamu. adj. Famous, renowned, celebrated, excellent, superior, ప్రసిద్ధమైన, శ్రేష్ఠమైన. ప్రశస్తి pra-ṣasti. n. Fame, excellence, eminence, eulogy. ప్రసిద్ధి, పొగడిక. ప్రశస్తకుడు pra-ṣastakuḍu. n. A renowned man, one who is famous. ప్రసిద్ధుడు. 'అనవినిసర్వశాస్త్రములయందు ప్రశస్తకులైనయార్యులన్.' Bilh. i. 66.

(p. 840) prasaṅgamu pra-sangamu. [Skt.] n. Addiction to, connection with. A conversation, talk, discussion. ప్రస్తావము, సల్లాపము, సంగతి Connected reasoning or argument. విషయ విస్తరము, వాదము. A discourse, speech, sermon, lecture. ఆ పండితుల ప్రసంగము చేయుచుండిరి the Pandits were holding a disputation. ఇకను ఆ ప్రసంగము మానుకొండి have done with that discussion. ప్రసంగ సంగత్యా in the course of conversation. అధికప్రసంగము talkativeness. ప్రసంగించు prasang-inṭsu. v. n. To talk about, to discuss, ప్రస్తావించు, వాదించు. To make a speech. ప్రసక్తి pra-sakti. n. A topic, or subject of conversation. ఆ ప్రసక్తి నాకు తెలియదు I know nothing about the matter. ప్రసక్తించు prasakt-inṭsu. v. n. To talk about, to be related to (a subject). ప్రస్తావమునకువచ్చు.

(p. 841) prastāvamu pra-stāvamu. [Skt.] n. An opportunity, occasion, కార్యోచిత సమయము, అవసరము. A conversation, narration, mentioning. Mention. Incidental reference to a person or thing, ఒకనినిగూర్చి మాటయెత్తడము, ప్రశంసించుట, చెప్పుట. ప్రస్తావించు prastāvinṭsu. v. n. To tell in the course of conversation, to talk about, ప్రస్తావమునకు తెచ్చు. ప్రస్తాపము or ప్రస్తాపన prastāpamu. (corruption of ప్రస్తావము.) ఆ సంగతిని నాతో ప్రస్తాపము చేసినాడు he made a mention of this to me. వాడు ఆ ప్రస్తాపమెత్తలేదు he did not mention it.

(p. 1203) vṛttamu vṛittamu. adj. Round, circular, globular, full orbed. గుండ్రని, వట్రువైన. n. Practice, custom. నడవడి, నడత. A circle. మండలము. A kind of metre of verse. పద్యభేదము. వృత్తాంతము vṛittān-tamu. n. Intelligence, news, tidings, a story, narrative. Detail, particulars. వివరణము, వార్త, జనరవము. సమాచారము, ప్రస్తావము. వృత్తి vṛitti. n. Being, existence. Livelihood, means of subsistence, profession, conduct. జీవనోపాయము, జీవనము, వర్తనము, కాయికము, కులకాయికము, నడవడిక. A share in a village, granted to a Brahmin in free gift. శ్రోత్రియములోనొకపాలు. A certain style of composition, అభిధ, లక్షణ. వ్యంజస, లేక, కైశికి. అరభటి, సాత్వతి and భారతి. వృత్తిదారుడు vṛitti-dāruḍu. n. A proprietor of small grants of land, made free or rent or at a light rent, to Brahmins only.
