To demand an article over and above, or into the bargain. To be greedy. To be eager for. To hesitate. సంకోచించు. v. t. To pray ప్రార్థించు. కొసరించు kosar-inṭsu. n. To demand more; to be exorbitant. n. Eagerness, lust, greediness, pruriency, hankering, cupidity; what is demanded over and above; what is asked into the bargain. Desire, cupidity కోరిక. Prayer ప్రార్థనము. Hesitation సంకోచము. 'కొంకు కొసరించుకయులేక' without the least hesitation or fear.

A vow. ప్రార్థనాద్యర్థకము the Imperative mood, as showing entreaty. ప్రార్థనచేసికొను pr-ārthana-chēsi-konu. v. n. To pray. To vow. ప్రార్థకుడు pr-ārthakuḍu. n. One who prays or asks. ప్రార్థించు pr-ārthinṭsu. v. a. To ask, beg, pray or supplicate. అడుగు. యాచించు. ప్రార్థనీయము pr-āthanīyamu. adj. Fit to be asked or begged. ప్రార్థితము pr-ārthitamu. adj. Asked, begged, solicited. అడుగబడ్డ, యాచింపబడ్డ. ప్రార్థితుడు pr-ārthituḍu. n. One who is begged, or entreated. అడుగబడ్డవాడు, యాచింపబడ్డవాడు.

To prostrate oneself, to bow, to make an obeisance, నమస్కారముచేయు. మొక్కబోయిన దేవుడు ఎదురుగావచ్చినట్లు the god I came to worship has met me in the way. n. An obeisance, a vow, దండము. వ్రతము. మొక్కుబడి or మ్రొక్కుబడి mokku-baḍi. n. A vow. దేవతాప్రార్థన, వ్రతము. మొక్కుబడి వాండ్రు those who are under a vow. మొక్కుకొను or మ్రొక్కుకొను mokku-konu. v. n. To vow or to make a vow. ప్రార్థనచేసికొను.

(p. 1163) vindu vindu. [Tel. cf. Tam. విరుందు.] n. A treat, entertainment, banquet, feast. An invitation. Hospitality, ఆతిథ్యము, ప్రార్థనాపూర్వక భోజనము. A guest, భోజనమునకు వచ్చినవాడు, భోజనమునకువచ్చినస్త్రీ, అతిథి. A relation, చుట్టము. కన్నులకువిందుగానుండే a feast for the eyes, a delicious or alluring sight. 'చూడ్కివిందొనరించి.' N. ix. 276. మాకు విందులేనికూడు మందు a dinner without a guest is medicine with us, i.e., we seldom dine without friends. 'కొండముచ్చునకును కోతియువిందౌ.' Vema. 1783. తమ్మిపూవిందు the friend of the lotus, i.e., the sun. R. v. 175. విందుచేయు or విందుపెట్టు vindu-chēyu. v. n.
