(p. 174) ūṭa ūṭa. [Tel from ఊరు] n. Juice, sap. A fountain, a spring as of water. Marrow. ఎముక ఊట. Pickling liquor. strength. బలము, చేప. ఊటకల్లు ūṭa-kallu. n. A grain like అళ్లు. ఊటగుండు ūṭā-guṇḍu. n. The stone to which a weaver fastens the cross sticks on which he stretches his web. ఊటనీరు ūṭa-nīru. n. A gushing spring. ఊటపుట్టు. ūṭa-puṭṭu. v. n. To spring (as water.) ఊటబుడ్డిచెక్క ūṭa-buḍḍi-chekka. n. Wood that is strong and durable for building purposes. ఊటయెత్తు ūṭa-yettu. v. n. To be damp. ఊట యెత్తిన damp, moist. ఆ చెట్లు ఊట యెత్తిపోయినవి these trees have been injured by excessive moisture. ఊటయెత్తిన యిల్లు a damp house. ఊటగల heavy, abounding springs. సత్తువగల, బరువైన. ఊటగలకర్ర a heavy piece of wood. ఊటాడు ūṭāḍu. (ఊట+ఆడు) v. n. To shake, totter, waver, be agitated. చలించు, సంభ్రమించు. ఊటాడించు. (Vasu. iv. 159.) to shake కదల్చు, ఆడించు, అల్లలాడించు.

(p. 185) eḍu eḍu. [Tel.] An affix denoting quantity (like full in a cup-ful, a bagful) పరిమాణార్థకము. మూరెడు a cubit, as much as a cubit. బారెడు an ell-long. బుడ్డెడు a bottleful. To this word the affix ఏసి is sometimes added: గంపేడేసి by basketfuls, a basketful at a time. cఎడు or ఎడి an affix applied to participles, does not alter the sense, as పోవు or పోయెడు going.

(p. 218) ōbuḍu ōbuḍu. [Tel.] n. One of the gods worshipped by the Chentsus, a jungle tribe.

(p. 266) kākara kākara. [Tel.] n. The creeping plant with a gourd-like fruit, Momordica charantia. పొట్టికాకర Mom. muricata. బుడ్డకాకర the small leaved heart-pea, Cardio spermum halicacabum. (Ainslie and Watts) మెట్టకాకర Momordica operculata. వెర్రికాకర. the wild sort. అడవి కాకర, కొమ్ముకాకర, గొడ్డుకాకర are other species.

To cause to beat.

(p. 330) kōvi or క్రోవి kōvi. [Tel.] n. A tube, గొట్టము. An orifice, opening. A musket తుపాకి. చేతికోవి a pistol (రా. వి. v.) A bottle బుడ్డి. (నీలా. iii.)
