(p. 28) accu aṭṭsu. n. A stamp, a form for printing or for any other impression, a type, a printing press. An axle-tree. A mould. The handle of a handmill, A weaver's reed or stay. An image, or picture. ప్రతి రూపమును కల్పించేటిది, ఇరుసుమాను, తిరగటి పిడి, బట్ట వేసేటందుకు సాధనమైనది, ప్రతిబింబము. పోత అచ్చు the mould wherein clay or metal is cast. ఇటికె అచ్చు the box or mould used in making bricks. అచ్చక్షరములు printed letters. అచ్చువేయు to print. ఇంకా అచ్చువేయని unprinted, unpublished.అచ్చువేసేవాడు a printer. అక్షరాల అచ్చులు types of letters. బెల్లపు అచ్చు a square mould into which boiled treacle is poured, and thus formed into cakes. అచ్చుబెల్లము a lump of jaggery, అచ్చొత్తు to seal, impress with a mark, to print అచ్చుకూటము (a Madras word,) A printing press office ముద్రాశాల. అచ్చుబల్ల the frame on which a weaver's reed is fixed. అచ్చువేసినయెద్దు a 'brahminy' bull that is marked or stamped and is allowed to wander at large, as consecrated to the deity. అచ్చుకట్టు or అచ్చుకట్టువేయు v. a. To prepare land for wet cultivation by throwing up banks to divide it into plots, partitions or beds. మళ్లుగా ఏర్పరచు అచ్చుకట్టించినమడి or అచ్చుకట్టు పొలము a field which is divided into beds for wet cultivation. అచ్చులపోయు to find yarn on the frame for weaving (Cuddapa.) అచ్చుగా aṭṭsu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Precisely, exactly, clearly, evidently. 'పిచ్చుకపై బ్రహ్మాస్తము నచ్చుగ దొడిగినవితాన.' T. iv. 22.

(p. 40) atirasamu ati-rasamu. [Skt.] n. A sweet cake made of rice meal and sugar fried in ghee. పాకముపట్టిన బెల్లము పిండి కలిపి నేతిలో పక్వము చేసిన భక్ష్యవిశేషము, అరిసెలు.

(p. 255) kalakaṇḍa kalakanḍa. [Tel.] n. Sugar candy. పటికబెల్లము.

(p. 267) kācu kāṭsu. [Tel. from కాగు.] v. n. To be hot; to shine, as the sun or moon. To be hot as fever. To wait, dangle in attendence. నాకు జ్వరముకాచినది I had the fever on me. కొంచెము జ్వరముకాస్తున్నది there is a little fever. చలికాచుకొనుట to bask or sit by the fireside, or to warm oneself. ఎండకాస్తున్నది there is sunshine. ఆ చింతచెట్టు కాయడములేదు that tamarind tree does not bear. To wait for, attend on నాకొరకు కాచుకొన్నాడు he is waiting for me. అతని వద్ద మూడు ఏండ్లు కాచుకొని యుంటిని I was in attendance on his for three years. కాచు v. a. To boil; to heat, to warm. To bear fruit. కాగజేయు. ఆ ఊరంతా కాచి వడపోసినాడు lit. he has boiled and strained off the town, i.e., he has made himself master of the whole town. తేనీళ్లుకాచు to make tea. బెల్లము కాచడము sugar making. రాత్రి అంతా వారికి కాచడము కట్టడముతో సరిపోయినది the whole night was passed in fomenting and binding up the limbs.

(p. 320) kobbari or కొబ్బెర Kobbari. [Tel.] n. The kernel of the cocoanut. కొబ్బరిబెల్లము sugar made from cocoanut tree juice. కొబ్బరికాయ kobbari-kāya. n. A cocoanut. కొబ్బరిపువ్వు kobbari-puvvu. n. An excrescence inside a cocoanut which is kept too long. మొక్క మొలిచిన కొబ్బరికాయలోని పువ్వు. కొబ్బరిబొండము kobbari-bondamu. n. An unopened cocoanut.

(p. 374) guḍamu guḍamu. [Skt.] n. Molasses, jaggery, coarse treacle. బెల్లము.

(A. iv. 151. on which the note says 'జువ్వున పులుసు తిన్నందువల్ల తీసుక పొయ్యేనోటిపండ్లు.') చలిపని a cooling operation, శైత్యోపచారము. చలిబిండి ṭsali-binḍi. n. The name of a certain plant. చలిమల ṭsali-mala. n. The hill of snow, i.e., హిమాచలము. చలిమిడి ṭsalimiḍi. n. A mixture of rice flour and sugar బెల్లము కలిపిన పిండి. చలిమిరి or చల్మిరి ṭsali-miri. n. Wood కట్టెలు. వంటచెరుకు kitchen fuel. చెరుకుపందెము a feat of skill and strength in sword play or with an axe, which consists in lopping off a stem of sugar cane at a single blow in any proposed manner. చెరుకువిల్తుడు or చెరుకువిలుకాడు an epithet of Manmadha, as his bow is made of sugar cane. చెరుకుపిచ్చిక cheruku-pichchika. n. The yellow-throated sparrow. Gymnorhis flavicollis, (F.B.I.) చెరుకడము or చెరకడము cheru-kaḍamu. n. Jaggery, బెల్లము.

(p. 521) tāṭi or తాడి tāṭi. [Tel. Infl. of తాడు.] adj. Belonging to the palmyra tree. తాటి చెట్టు taṭi-cheṭṭu. n. The Palmyra Palm tree. Brab tree, or Fan Palm tree. Borassus flabelliformis (Watts). పోతు (male) and పెంటి (female) తాటిచెట్టు are two kinds. గొడ్డుతాటిచెట్టు or రామతాటిచెట్టు deformed trees of this species supposed to have magic properties. తాటిపిట్ట tāṭi-piṭṭa. n. (F.B.I.) తాటిబెల్లము sugar made from the juice of the palm tree. తాటిచన్నులు or తాటివెన్నులు the flowers of the palm. తాటికట్టెడ or తాటిగిరిపాము tāṭi-kaṭṭeḍa. n. A snake found on the palmyra trees. తాటిపడగవాడు an epithet of Balarāma or Bhīshma. తాటిరిక్క the constellation called జ్యేష్ఠా. తాటిరిక్కనెల the month called జ్యేష్ఠి మాసము.

(p. 529) timmanamu timmanamu. [Tel.] n. A sort of flummery, made of milk, flour and sugar. పాలు పిండి బెల్లమువేసి వండినది, మజ్జిగపులుసు.

(p. 558) toḍa toḍa. [Tel.] n. The thigh. తొడమీద ఉంచు to place on the lap. పెందొడ the thicker part of the thigh. చిరుదొడ the thinner part of the thigh. తొడమాంసము. a leg of mutton. తొడపుట్టువు lit: one born from the thigh, i.e., a Vaisya. తొడపాశము or తొడబెల్లము toḍa-pāṣamu. n. 'భిట్టువ, మునుగపూబిట్టువ, గిజిగాడు, ఉల్లెడ, పొడిపిట్ట, వంగపండు.'
