(p. 34) aḍacipaḍu or అడిచిపడు aḍachipaḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be rash or precipitate. To bounce. ఆత్తపడు, మిట్టిపడు. 'దైవోపహతంబులైన కార్యంబులు సిద్ధింబొందునె యడచిపడవలదు విచారించుకొందమనుటయు.' M. X. ii. 43.

(p. 36) aḍacipaḍu aḍichi-paḍu. [Tel.] n. To be in a hurry, to be impatient. త్వరపడు. మిడిసిపడు. 'దైవోపహతంబులగు కార్యంబులు సిద్ధింబొందునె యడిచిపడవలదు.' M. X. ii. 43. 'తడవోర్వక వ్యయమోర్వక కడువేగిరమడచిపడిన కార్యంబగునే.' Sumati. 27.

(p. 78) araḍā araḍā. [Tel.] n. The brass or gold mouth of a scabbard. A particular kind of neck jewel. Also, the lion's heads at the ends of the pole of Hindu marriage palankeen. కర్నాటకపల్లకీ బొంగుకొనుకువేసే సింహలలాటములు.

(p. 101) asatyamu a-satyamu. [Skt.] n. Perjury, falsehood. బొంకు, అబద్ధము.

(p. 168) uridi uridi. [Tel.] adj. Steady, Rapid. వడిగల. దృఢము, స్థిరము. adv. Quickly. వడిగా. 'ఖదలని నీటికి మీసము లెదు రెక్కు నెయురిదిబారు నీటికి బోలెన్ , పదవి నిరుద్యోగుల బొందదు సోద్యోగులన కానితాత్వికమఖ్యా.' N. ix. 190.

(p. 173) ūca ūṭsa. [Tel.] n. The soft core of the plantain or similar tree. బొందె. A thorn bush. ముండ్ల దుబ్బ. ఉచకోతగా గొంతుకోసి వేసినాడు he cut the throat without any trouble. ఊచ ūṭsa. adj. Withered. ఊదకాలు a withered leg. ఊచచెయ్యి a withered hand. ఊచపట్టు to grow big enough for the core in a plant to form. ఊచపోవు to become lean. కృశించు. ఊచబియ్యము ūṭsa-biyyamu. n. Grain not quite ripe. బాగుగా ముదరని జొన్నలు మొదలైనవి, ఊచముట్టు ūṭsa-muṭṭu. adv. To the core entirely, wholly. 'ఉల్లమంత గడంచి యూచముట్టుగను కల్లలాడించిన గలదెపన్నిదము.' H. D. i. 252.

(p. 175) ūba ūba. [Tel.] n. A eunuch. నపుంసకుడు. A corpulent man. బొండు.

(p. 208) oḍipi oḍipi. [Tel.] n. A breach, opening, orifice గండి, బొంద. చెరువు ఒడిపికట్టించినందుకు ఈ చేనిని మడియిచ్చినాను we have granted this field on a favourable lease for repairing the breach in the tank.

(p. 222) kaṅkaṭamu kankaṭamu. [Skt.] n. A cuirass, armour, కవచము, బొందలము.

(p. 223) kaṅki kanki. [Tel.] n. An ear or head of corn: a stem of corn వెన్ను. కంటివెడలని బొందు a blasted ear, one that does not sprout.

(p. 267) kāki kāki. [Tel. lit that which says kā, kā.] n. A crow. అడవికాకి the jungle crow or Corvus macrorhynchus. మంచి కాకి or ఊరకాకి the Indian house crow, corvus splendens. (F.B.I.) This word sometimes denotes depreciation as కాకి బంగారు false gold, tinsel. కాకిదొండపండు the wild cherry. దేశకాకి, or దేశమ్మకాకి a wandering wretch or vagrant. సముద్రపుకాకి an osprey. నీరుకాకి a cormorant. ఇనుపముక్కు కాకి the giant vulture or king of the vultures. మూలకాకి a raven. బొంతకాకి a raven. కాకిచంపు విత్తులు kāki-champu-vittulu. Same as కాకమారి (q. v.) కాకిచావు kāki-ṭsāsu. n Apoplexy, sudden death. కాకిచిప్ప kaki chippa. n. A bivalve shell. కాకిచెమ్మలు or కాకితీపు or కాకిసోమాల or కాకిసొమ్మ kāki-chemmalu. n. Fainting, epilepsy. కాకబాతు kāki-bātu. n. A brown species of wild duck. కాకిరెక్కలు kāki-rekkalu. n. The grain called millet. కాకివెదురు kāki-veduru. n. A reed.

(p. 267) kākōlamu kākōlamu. [Skt.] n. A raven. బొంతకాకి, మూలకాకి.

(p. 291) kuccela kuchchela. [Tel.] n. (plu. కుచ్చెలలు or కుచ్చెళ్లు.) A rick of corn. A heap of cut corn. జొన్నలలోనగువానికుప్ప. a land measure which in Guntur district is twenty nine acres or (33 3/16) thirty three gunṭas (see గుంట) and three sixteenths. One కుచ్చెల is nearly the same as a కత్తి of land, and is equal to eight గొర్రులు or 400 కుంటలు. The land that produces one stack of corn; it varies in various districts, and the above stated quantity is that fixed in the government rates. కుచ్చెళ్లువేయు to lay corn in ricks. కుచ్చెళ్లు See కుచ్చె. కుచ్చెలగంత or కుచ్చెల బొంత a bag of corn.

(p. 320) kobbari or కొబ్బెర Kobbari. [Tel.] n. The kernel of the cocoanut. కొబ్బరిబెల్లము sugar made from cocoanut tree juice. కొబ్బరికాయ kobbari-kāya. n. A cocoanut. కొబ్బరిపువ్వు kobbari-puvvu. n. An excrescence inside a cocoanut which is kept too long. మొక్క మొలిచిన కొబ్బరికాయలోని పువ్వు. కొబ్బరిబొండము kobbari-bondamu. n. An unopened cocoanut.

(p. 320) kommu kommu. [Tel.] n. 1. A horn. A bugle or trumpet. A tusk, an elephant's tusk or tooth కోర, దంతము. 2. The secondary form of the vowel ఉ. అల్లపుకొమ్ము a root or bit of ginger. పసుపుకొమ్ము a root or bit of turmeric. A squirt. చిమ్మన్నగ్రోవి. 'కొమ్మలన్ గరచిచల్ల,' A. 118. 3. Anything projecting, as చెరుపుకొమ్ము the tongue or end of a tank. అందలపుకొమ్మ the pole of a sedan chair. పల్లకిబొంగు. కావటికొమ్ము one end of a yoke. 4. A horn or crest as a sign of dignity. శిఖరము, కొన. వానికేమి కొమ్ములు మొలిచినవి why does he talk so big? 5. Strength, joy బలము, ఉత్సాహము. కొమ్ముకాకరకాయ a certain vegetable, being a species of కాకర. కొమ్ముకాడు a horn-blower. కొమ్మూడెడివాడు a goldsmith. 6. A hog's tusk. పందికోర. కొమ్ముగల చేప. a shark. కొమ్ముగలచేప కొమ్ముటేనుగు a tusker, a male elephant. 7. A branch శాఖ. The top or end కొన, శిఖరము. కొమ్ములవాండ్లు kommula-vānḍlu. n.
