(p. 45) adharamu adharamu. [Skt.] n. Lip. పెదవి. The underlip. క్రింది పెదవి. అధురమధువు the honey of the lip. అధరము adj. Low, inferior, vile. దిగుడైన, నీచమైన. Lower. 'ప్రతతోర్థ్వాధరభాగపీఠయుగళీ భాస్వత్త్సంభ సంస్థితి.' Amuk. i. 6.

(p. 743) pārīkhattu pārī-khattu. [H.] n. An acquitance, a deed of release from all demands; a deed of dissolution of partnership. A bill of divorcement. A receipt, acquittance or release. విభాగపత్రము. అన్ని తగాదాలను తీర్చుకొనినట్లు వ్రాసికొన్న చీటి.

(p. 788) peṇaka or పెడక penaka. [Tel.] n. A pent roof, one side of a sloping roof. ఇంటియొక్క ఒకభాగపుకప్పు. The back side of a leaf, ఆకుయొక్క వెనుకటి భాగము. చిప్పపెణక the gable end of a roof.

(p. 970) māḍu māḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be burnt or scorched. కాలు, కాలిపోవు. ఆ పుండు మాడిపోయినది the boil dried up. n. Rice or any other food burnt in cooking. అడుగున బొగ్గులైపోయిన అన్నము. The gable end of a house, ఇంటి యొక భాగపు కప్పు. మాడుచు, మాడ్చు or మాడించు māḍuṭsu. v. a. To burn, scorch, blacken, మాడజేయు. వాండ్ల పుటము మాడ్చినాడు he burnt their fining pot, i.e. he broke up their scheme. వాడు ముఖము మాడ్చుకొనినాడు he looked sulky. మాడుచెక్క māḍu-chekka. n. Burnt rice. అడుగున చెక్కలుగా మాడిన అన్నము.

(p. 1202) vīsamu vīsamu. [Tel.] n. The fraction called one sixteenth, the sixteenth part of anything. A grain of gold equal in weight to one grain of rice. వడ్లగింజయెత్తుబంగారము. వీసబడి or వీసుబడి vīsa-baḍi. (వీసము+బడి.) n. Cess or tax, levied on a town and then divided among several persons each of whom pays his share, a certain tax on the profits of a trade. గ్రామమునందు భాగప్రకారముకలిగిన భూస్వాతంత్య్రము. A ryotwari settlement. A measure of land equal nearly to two acres. వీసర or వీసరము vīsara. (వీసర+అర.) n. Want, defect, deficiency, diminution. కొరత, వెలితి. వీసరపడు or వీసరపోవు vīsara-paḍu. v. n. To be lacking, or deficient, వెలితిపడు. To fail, be fruitless. వ్యర్థమగు, కించిద్భంగమగు. 'కవికానకచేసినపుణ్యపాపముల్ విసరపోవు.' Dasarathi Ṣatakam.
