(p. 245) kabiri kabari. [Skt.] n. A braid or fillet of hair. The top knot in which Hindoo females tie their long hair. కొప్పు. కబిరీ భారము a fine head of hair.

(p. 381) guruvu or గురుడు guruvu. [Skt.] n. A teacher, a preceptor, a master, a superior, a learned man, a father. A title or name of Brihaspati, tutor of the Gods, who was the husband of Tāra. గురువారము. guru-vāramu. n. Thursday. దొంగలగురువు a master thief, a ringleader. గురువు guruvu. n. Greatness గౌరవము, weight భారము. పూర్వజన్మార్జిత భూరికర్మముల గుర్వణగించునా కొడుక రావయ్య, BD. iv. 218. A long syllable, in prosody. Fast running వేగపు పరుగు. adj. Heavy, weighty, great, large, bulky: difficult, arduous. Reverend, venerable. గురుకార్యము a weighty matter. గురువుగా or గుర్వుగా positively or greatly అధికముగా. 'సర్వమాన్యము నీకు గుర్వుగానిత్తు.' BD. iv. 490. గురువుతేరు guruvu-tēru. v. n. To swell,వులుపారు to run very fast వేగపు పరువుగాపారు. To excel అతిశయించు. గురుత్వము gurutvamu. n. Greatness, weight, importance. Esteem. Heaviness, or languor. గురునాథుడు guru-nādhuḍu. n. The name of a certain village god, whose image is usually a mere block of stone, under a tree.

(p. 540) tula tula. [Skt.] n. A balance, scales. The sign Libra. త్రాసు. Resemblance, similarity. పోలిక. Equality. సమానము. The measurement round a heap of grain. తులార్జులు the measurement of a heap of grain with a cord both over the top (తుల) and round the bottom (అర్జు.) తులదూగు tula-dūgu. v. n. To weigh, in a balance, be heavy. To be opulent. R. iv. 60. తులాభారము tulā-bhāramu. n. A royal donation, according to which a prince is weighed against gold and jewels, which he then distributes as charity. తులాయష్టి tulā-yashṭi n. Scales for weighing.

(p. 572) traibhaṅgikamu trai-bhangikamu. [Skt. from త్రిభంగి.] n. Lit: 'Three ways.' This is the name of a certain attitude. See త్రిబంగి. 'సీ కచభారకుచభార కటిభారములచేత కాయంబు త్రైభంగికముగ నిలిచి.' Nirankusa. i. 24.

(p. 605) dūramu dūramu. [Skt.] n. Distance. (Metaphorically) Distance in point of time. ఇంతదూరము all this while. దూరముగా చూడు look before you, consider well. adj. Distant, far. దూరదేశము a distant land. దూరపుదాయాది a distant heir. ఇది వ్యాజదూరమైయున్నది it is beyond a doubt. దూరముగా dūramu-gā. adv. Afar.దూరగుడు dūraguḍu. n. One who is far from (anything) బుద్ధిదూరగుడు he who is far from wisdom. దూరదర్శి dūra-darṣi. n. A sage, one who has foresight. దూరపు యోచనకలవాడు. దూరదృక్కు dūra-dṛikku. n. Farsightedness. దూరభారము dūra-bhāramu. n. A great distance. దూరుడు dūruḍu. n. He who is far from. దుష్టప్రవర్తనదూరుడై being far above such wickedness.

(p. 623) dhura dhura. [Skt.] n. A burden. బరువు. ధురంధర dhuran-dhara. adj. Bearing a burden, able, clever, talented. బరువు మోయునట్టి. ధురంధరత్వము dhuran-dharatvamu. n. Supporting, upholding, patronage, responsibility. ధురంధరుడు dhuran-dharuḍu. n. One who bears a burden, one who is responsible, a clever or able man. భారమువహించువాడు. ధురీణుడు dhurīṇuḍu. n. He who bears a burden. బరువుమోయువాడు. An able or clever man. ధుర్యము dhuryamu. adj. Bearing a burden, entrusted with, sustaining. Fit to bear a burden బరువుమోయగల. ధుర్యుడు dhuryuḍu. n. One who sustains a burden. భారము వహించువాడు. గర్వధుర్యుడు one who is inflated with pride. ప్రౌఢవాగ్ధుర్యుడు an eloquent man.
