(p. 531) tirumala tiru-mala. [Tel. తిరు+మల.) n. The sacred hill of Tirupati వెంకటాచలము. Any sacred hill. తిరుమలేశ tirumal-ēṣa. n. The Lord of Tirumala, a name employed in the chorus used by a poet who wrote a set of riddles: like this one; 'మూడుశిరములున్ను ముదమొప్పపదికాళ్లు గల్గు; తోకలురెండు కన్నులారు చెలగి కొమ్ములు నాల్గు చేతులు రెండయా, దీనిభావమేమి తిరుమలేశ.' The meaning of this is:--'a man ploughing with a pair of oxen.' See తిరు.

(p. 1035) mogaḍa mogaḍa. [Tel.] n. A bud. A boss or knob on a shield or door. మొగ్గ, గుబక. 'విత్తులేనియట్టి వృక్షమొక్కటి పుట్టె ఫలముపువ్వు మొగడపత్రిలేదు, స్వాదులేదు చూడ సాపాటునకు లెస్స, దీనిభావమేమి తిరుమలేశ.' Tirumalēsa. 'పూమొగడతోతులదూగులతాంగిముక్కు.' R. iv. 60.
