(p. 262) kaḷyāṇamu kaḷyāṇamu. [Skt.] n. Good fortune, weal, prosperity, marriage. కళ్యాణోత్సవము the high day, or anniversary celebrated at any temple as the god's wedding day. కళ్యాణమంటపము a small chapel attached to a temple where the god is placed when celebrating the different festivals.

(p. 277) kālu kālu. [Tel.] n. A leg, a foot, a claw, a talon. మోకాలు the knee. మిగాలు the upper surface of the foot. A pillar. నూరుకాళ్లమంటపము a portico built on 100 pillars. A quarter or fourth part. ముక్కాలు being three legs, or quarters. (p. 509) tamagamu or తమంగము tamagamu. [from Skt.తమఙ్గః] n. A summer house, having no walls but a roof on pillars. మంటపము, చావిడి. A raised platform మంచె.

(p. 929) bhōgamu bhōgamu. [Skt.] n. Enjoyment, possession, అనుభవము. Happiness, సుఖము. Food, భోజనము. A snake's body or crest. పాముశరీరము, లేక, పాముపడగ అష్టభోగములు the eight kinds of enjoyment as Home గృహము, Bed శయ్య, Clothes వస్త్రము. Ornaments ఆభరణము, Woman's company స్త్రీ, Flowers పుష్పము, Scent గంధము and Betel తాంబూలము. ఏకభోగము undivided possession. ఏకభోగగ్రామము a village in the hands of one single person. పాలిభోగము separate possession. పాలిభోగగ్రామము a village whereof the land is the property of several persons, each of whom holds his land as a separate property and always retains the same fields. ఈ సంవత్సరము ఒక భోగము పండినది ఒక భోగము పోయినది one crop turned out well, one crop turned out ill. భోగగృహము bhōga gṛihamu. n. A bed room. పడకగది. భోగబంద bhōga-banda. n. A mortgage in which the article pledged or mortgaged may be converted to use, as land, houses, cattle, &c. the profits of which are to be appropriated by the lender or mortgagee in lieu of interest. భోగమంటపము bhōga-manṭapamu. n. An open hall or porch of a temple, in which festivals are celebrated. కళ్యాణ మంటపము. భోగవతి bhōga-vati. n. The name of the Capital of the Nagas or serpents, పాతాళము. శేషసర్పపట్టణము. The name of the infernal Ganges. పాతాళగంగ. A fashionable lady. భోగముగలది. భోగస్త్రీ bhōgā-stri. n. A kept woman, mistress or concubine, a prostitute. 'విచిత్రవీర్యుని భోగస్త్రీయందు విదురునింబుట్టించె.' Vish. vi. 425. భోగశిపత్రి bhōgāṣi-patri. n. A name of Garuda. 'భోగాశిపత్రితరస్ఫూర్త్యనుబావ.' Swa. v. 133. టీ పన్నగాశనపతత్రి. గరుత్మంతుడు. భోగి bhōgi. n. A happy man. భోగముగలవాడు. One who lives in splendour or luxury. అనుభవశాలియైనపురుషుడు. A serpent. సాము. The name given to the eves of some particular feasts. పండుగతొలినాడు. భోగించు bhōginṭsu. v. a. To enjoy, అనుభవించు. To be happy, సుఖించు, భోగించుట bhōginṭsuṭa. n. Enjoyment. Plu. భోగించుటలు. 'మనమానాడుమహావినోదముల ప్రేమల్ మీరభోగించుటల్ వినుము.' Radha. iii. 25. భోగిని bhōgini. n. A royal concubine. రాజు ఉంచిన బోగముది. An inferior wife of king. పట్టాభిషిక్తురాలుకాని రాజుభార్య. A female serpent. ఆడుపాము. భోగ్యత bhōgyata. n. Deliciousness, sweetness. దీనిభోగ్యత దేనికీలేదు nothing is more delicious than this. భోగ్యము bhōgyamu. n. Use, usufruet, enjoyment, or something given in pledge or on mortgage. భోగ్యపత్రము a mortgage bond, wherein the lender assumes the temporary use of the property mortgaged. adj. Enjoyable, fit to be enjoyed, delicious, agreeable as food. అనుభవింపదగిన. ఆ ప్రసాదము భోగ్యముగానుండలేదు that food was not agreeable. భోజనము bhōjanamu. n. Food, a repast or meal, ఆహారము. Eating, కడుపు. భోజనముచేయు to eat, to dine. భోజనకస్తూరి small oranges pickled. భోజరాజు or భోజుడు bhōja-rāju. n. The name of a king celebrated by Sanskrit poets as a bountiful patron. భోజ్యము bhōjyamu. adj. Edible, fit to eat, eatable. భుజింపదగిన n. Food, ఆహారము.

'అనుఘకథాముఖంబున హితాహిత బోధమొనర్తురింపుగా.' Mand. i. 8. టీ కాథా ముఖంబున by means of a story, కథచేతను అర్ధముఖము the profile or half face. తమరు రామునిముఖముచూచి నన్ను రక్షింపవలసినది I pray that for the sake of Rama you will relieve me. పడమటిముఖముగా towards the west. పడమటిముఖముగా నుండే యిల్లు a house facing the west. ఆడదానిముఖమెరుగనివాడు a youth that as yet knows not the face of a woman, i.e., entirely chaste. అందరును ఏకముఖముగా నుండలేదుగనుక as they were not unanimous or were not all of one mind. 'బాణకృపాణముఖాస్త్ర శస్త్రములు,' M. VII. ii. 275; arrows, swords, and other weapons. ముఖముమాడ్చుకొనినాడు he looked sulky or angry. వానికి ముఖము చచ్చినది he turned pale, he looked blank or ashamed. ముఖదాక్షిణ్యము complaisance. వానిముఖములో ఈగ ఆడలేదు he was all in a pucker. ఆ రూకలను వాని ముఖముమిద పారవేయుము fling the money at his face. అది వానికి ముఖపాఠముగానున్నది he has got it by heart. వాడు ముఖప్రితి మాటలాడును he talks plausibly. ముఖమెరుగనివాడు a stranger. ముఖమెరుగనిదేశము a strange land, a land where one has no acquaintance. ముఖవాసికలవాడు he is a winning man. వానికి ముఖవశ్యముకద్దు he is a very taking man. ముఖము తప్పించుకొనిపోయినాడు he has absconded or disappeared. ముఖస్తుతి flattery. ముఖస్తుతిచేయు to flatter. వాని కాశ్లోకము ముఖస్థముగానున్నది he knows the verse by heart. ముఖద్వారము mukhadvāramu. n. By means of, through, ద్వారా. నా తమ్ముని ముఖాంతరముగా పంపించినాను I sent it by my brother. ముఖాముఖి mukhā-mukhi. adv. Face to face. ఎదురెదురుగా. 'వినుముఖాముఖిబల్కెద.' T. iii. 84. ముఖుడు mukhudu. n. A word used in compounds, thus అధోముఖుడై hanging with his face down. సుముఖుడుగా మాట్లాడినాడు he spoke graciously. దుర్ముఖుడైయుండినాడు he was cross. పరాఙ్ముఖుడైయుండెను he turned his face away.

(p. 1036) mogamu or మొకము mogamu. [from Skt. ముఖము.] n. The face. ముఖము. Front, ఎదురు. An entrance, door, ద్వారము. adj. Chief, ముఖ్యము. మొగచాటు moga-ṭsāṭu. n. Surfeit, disgust in eating, ముఖముకొట్టడము. 'తినతినజిహ్వకు తీపైన మొగచాటు, సారెకుబలుకుట చప్పదనము.' Venkatēswara. §. 16. మొగతప్పు or మొగతిరుగు moga-tappu. v. n. To have the face turned away, విముఖమగు. మొగదల mogadala. n. The end or butt (of a wall.) ఎదురు, ముందటిభాగము. మొగవట్ట or మొగముట్టు moga-paṭṭa. n. The front portion of a necklace, హారాదుల ముఖభాగము. A buckle. కంఠభూషణము యొక్క ముఖభాగము. 'ధాత్రీ మహాదేవి తాల్చిన మున్నీటి మొలమాలిరత్నంపు మొగపనంగ.' Prabhavati Pradyumnam, i. 3. మొగమిచ్చు moga-miṭsṭsu. v. n. To show the face, to favour, to be pleased, సుముఖుడగు. మొగమోటమి, మొగమొటము, మొగమోట or మోగమోటమి mogamōṭami. n. Partiality, pity, compassion, దాక్షిణ్యము. Hesitation, doubt, సంకోచము. మొగమోడు mogam-ōḍu. v. n. To be ashamed. సిగ్గుపడు. 'ముంగిటికే తెంచి మొగమోడనగునె.' Abhim. 47. To be partial, దాక్షిణ్యపడు. To hesitate, సంకోచించు. మొగవాడ moga-vāḍa. n. The front door of a temple. గోపుర ద్వారము. 'అరిమురిమొగవాడ దెరచివీక్షింప.' BD. iv. 661. మొగవీణె moga-vīṇe. n. A kind of వీణె, ముఖవీణె. మొగసరి moga-sari. (మొగము + అరి.) Same as మొగముట్టు (q. v.) మొగసాల, మొగసల or మోసాల moga-sāla. n. An entrance hall. నడవ. ముఖమంటపము, నగరితల వాకిటిచావడి. 'నీ తమ్ముండు పెద్ద మొగసాలం జాలు మానసులం గావలివెట్టి.' M. ix. ii. 34. A porch in front of a house, తలవాకిటిపంచ.

'రచ్చలు క్రంతలు రాజమార్గంబులు.' B. X. § 53. 'మెచ్చు రయ్యింతిసొబగురచ్చలగూర్చున్నరసికులెల్ల.' Surabh. 51. A. iv. 148. రచ్చకుదీయు or రచ్చకీడ్చు raṭsṭsaku-dīyu. v. a. To challenge, defy. జగడానకుపిలుచు, వాదునకీడ్చు. రచ్చకొట్టము, రచ్చపట్టు or రచ్చమంటపము ratsṭsa-koṭṭamu. n. A place where the village authorities sit, a debating room. A court, a hall of audience. కొలువుకూటము, కచ్చేరి. 'నానావనీసమాయాత పథికులదురగనుపట్టు రచ్చకొట్టమునకరిగె.' S. iii. 158. రచ్చగొను raṭsṭsa-gonu. v. n. To assemble. గుంపుకూడు. To plague. బాధించు. 'వ అచ్చెరువుపడివియచ్చరులు వచ్చిరచ్చగొనిచూడ.' R. v. 195. 'నెమ్మనము ననిచ్చరచ్చగొనుమచ్చరము.' Satyabh. iv. 200. హృదయములో నెల్లప్పుడు బాధించుచున్నటువంటి ద్వేషము. రచ్చబండ, రచ్చబల్ల or రచ్చరాయి raṭsṭsa-banḍa. n. A stone bench in a street or meeting place. The village bench, where the elders hold council, నలువురుకూర్చుండేబల్ల. H. iv. 148. రచ్చమాను or రచ్చరాని raṭsṭsa-mānu. n. A great tree under which a council is held. రచ్చలబెట్టు raṭsṭsala-beṭṭu. v. a. To publish, divulge, expose. రట్టుచేయు. To plague, annoy, బాధపెట్టు.

(p. 1114) lōva lōva. [Tel.] n. A valley, లోయ. The eaves of a house, ఇంటిచూరు. A burrow in the ground, నేలబొరియ. 'గాలిమంటపము ప్రాకారంబులోపలు బోదెలుచుట్టలుపొందు పడగ.' H. i. 209.

(p. 1381) hazāramu, hazuru, huzūru or అ౛ారము haḍzāramu. [H.] n. Presence. ఆస్థానము. A royal hall or chamber of audience. A place where persons of distinction sit. ఆస్థానమంటపము. రాజసభ, కొలువు కూటము, నగరికి వెలిచావడి. 'నివ్వటిలుసందియంబున జవ్వాడుమనంబుతో హజారముచేరెన్.' S. iii. 191.
