(p. 672) nusulu or నుసలు nusulu. [Tel.] v. a. To stretch the body in or after sleep. ఒళ్లు విరుచుకొను. v. n. To stir, మెదలు. To delay, ఆలస్యముచేయు. To undertake, పూను. మైనుసులుచు stretching oneself. The Ashy-crowned Finch Lark. Pyrrhulauda grisca. (F.B.I.) పోతురాజు or పోతరాజు pōtu-rāḍsu. n. The name of a rustic god, like Pan, worshipped throughout the Telugu, Canarese and Mahratta countries. He represents the male principle associated with the village goddesses Gangamma, Peddamma, &c. A proverb says పాడుఊరికి మంచపుకోడుపోతురాజు in a ruined village the leg of a cot is a god. cf., 'a Triton of the minnows' (Shakespeare.) బమ్మెరపోతరాజు the name of a certain poet. పోతులరాజు pōtula-rāḍzu. n. A name given to a large hound.

(p. 940) maga maga. [Tel.] adj. Male. మగపోణిమి యెరుగనిది a pure maid. మగలమగడు a phrase meaning the chief of men, a hero. గండరగండడు. 'నయనయుగళివెలి దామరలమ గలమగలై, డాలెగయు.' Swa. iv. 169. మగకరువు want of men. మగటిమి or మగంటిమి magaṭimi. n. Manliness. పౌరుషము, పుంస్త్వము, మగతనము, శౌర్యము. మగడు or మగండు magaḍu. n. A male, a man, పురుషుడు, మగవాడు. A husband, పెనిమిటి. To become low or humble. వంగు, ఒరుగు, నమ్రమగు. ఒళ్లువంగిపనిచేయు to work hard. ఒళ్లువంగనివాడు one who does not choose to bend his back, a lazy man. వంగదీయు vanga-dīyu. v. a. To bend, bow down. వంచు. వంగుడు vanguḍu. n. A crack, బీటిక. An excrescence, స్ఫోటము. వంగుళ్లు drippings of the eaves. వానవెలిసిన తర్వాత బొట్టుబొట్టుగా పడుచుండేనీళ్లు.
